Wow ep9 was really sad, I can't understand parent's who would try to kill their kids even in desperation. I find it really hard to watch things where I have to see kids suffer or go through traumatic events/childhoods. I just don't understand why the mom is so evil to Momoko either, I hope they explain it in the final ep, I'm curious to know why the father apologised too. I feel like the relationship between her and her family needs to be further explained and needs more than an ep.
If you're actually interested in the manga adaptation (amazing manga btw), then you're probably going to dislike this version and I highly rec watching the Jver. Technically they're both about the same length since thats 20min per ep and this is 60 and yet it still manages to do everything better. Main lead actor Shin Dong Ho did not suit the role at all and imo he can't act, it's always the same monotone expressions, even when he's supposed to be this complex char. So to sum it up, bad adaptation and terrible acting not to mention boring. My only regret is not watching this version first so I could get rid of the bad aftertaste.
I love the Manga and this was a pretty great adaptation imo. Ishigaki Yuma was perfect for the role of Yu who is a complex char, like how he's really timid and paranoid at times, he nailed it. Great casting for the rest of the cast too including Masaki. The only problem I had with it is that it should've been longer, there's a lot of stuff cut short and fights I wanted to see.
I honestly don't know whether or not I should watch this. Some of the comments say it's horrible but others also…
It not the best, I didn't like the last few eps and the ending felt super rushed imo. It's the kind of drama I'll easily forget. But you should watch the first ep and see if it's your thing. There's a lot of cliches and I also found it too cheesy lol.
It's like they took all the worst drama cliches, packaged them with bad acting, and created a twelve-episode disaster.…
Completely agree about the cliches, especially in the last 2 eps. It's like they tried to do a 16 ep drama in 2 episodes. Couldn't stand that Mother in Law who was so clingy with her son.
Even if it was cliche and predictable, I still found it a cute watch. I loved the cast and the ost was perfect,…
Wow if that had happened I would have hated it, for this drama an open end would've sucked. It needed the closure and I'm happy how it ended, it was really cute =)
Can anyone tell me why her brother and mom treated her like that?
I'm hoping we'll get an explanation within the next two eps. I'm thinking maybe it's because the Mom hated her so the brother just imitated her? I don't know why the Mom hates her though, must be to do with the dad. Though it's sad cause there is actually abusive families like this.
I'm still upset over it especially after finding out who the Shinigami was ;(
Yeah it was touching, Rena's really sweet even though she acts really tough.
Season 2 please? Seriously such a great drama from start to finish, can't just leave it at that.
Loved everything about it, especially Kitagawa Keiko as main lead, she totally kicked ass. It has been my fave this season. I think I may write a review later when I'm not being lazy.
Ohh and I just have to mention how attractive Fujioka Dean is lmaoo XD

Really liking this drama so far, it's different. I'll be sure to check out the Japanese one too.
Not sure what answer you want?? But as I said I like it because it's different from the usual kdrama and it's a nice episodic slice of life show with a bit more realism. Every ep is a different story for people who visit the diner and I like how everyone gets to know each other.

Just because you seem to find it a borefest doesn't mean everybody else does. I like the change of pace from your typical Kdrama, it's a nice slice of life type of show imo and it's something I like watching while I eat.
