Ending is reasonable.At last he achieved his goal and destroyed black fox.But If this story hadn't annoying QC spider this ending would be better than this.He is the reason that QT obtained that seed.If there weren't such unnecessary character QT wouldn't end up that way.

Actually QC didn't do much for the story but he separated and ruined the pure relationship between MC.
Sibling bond between QT and QC is actually unnecessary and most annoying thing in this whole series.It caused this whole mess.

That annoying spider is the main reason for this bad ending.If it hadn't such a character,ending would be better than this.

Then watch Mysterious Lotus Casebook.
Although he died in the end ,it is a satisfying ending.
Fight scenes ,storyline,character development ara all perfect there.It's a worth watching.

If you don't mind modern drama , watch 'South Wind Knows'.
It is a melo drama.
Immortal Samsara also has a HE.

I don't know about production team.But both dramas has same director(TJL and Vendetta of Ann).Upcoming Youku drama Love and Crown also his work.

After seeing spoilers and comments about ending first I disappointed.But after watching the whole episodes I also agree with you.Its not totally bad ending.At least Fugui achieved his goal and destroyed black fox.
For me ep 1-18 is superb.QT-QC spider sibling thing destroyed the whole 2nd part of the series.
Although it's not a HE,Its not a bad ending either.

Actors did a fantastic job here.Specially CY🔥🔥.
If it didn't include annoying (spider QC) characters and messy storyline for 2nd part of the series,this would be better.
Finally I rate 9 for this by considering acting,ost,CGI,costumes.

I don't think so.Yang Yang also experience criticize after his drama with Wang Churan.But his IA is a successful drama.Gong Jun also same his FSMRM also get criticize but his Blood River is a successful drama.Everyone has to face bad times in their lives.But we have to move on.Besides we can't tell CY 's recent dramas are completely unsuccessful.TJOL just didn't break heatindex.But it is a dual platform drama.Also we still don't know SaB whether break or not 9k level.

TJOL is at least a dual platform drama. IQIYI is the only platform for SaB.But it still at 8.9k level.😪
