Hated this after episode 9. This Kdrama made me realize what it means to have second male lead syndrome. Like, what the hell did I just watch?! For Carpenter Kim and Il Ri not to end up together after ALL that is the biggest piss off I’ve endured so far in 2024. Her husband was a total Sand bag. He even hit her!! I know in Korea, physical violence like that when someone has been offended is more acceptable, but I was like aw hell naw! She needed to get the heck out of there. And her ridiculous attachment to his family felt so contrived and unrealistic. The writers obviously didn’t know what to do with the carpenter after a certain point. No way in hell any sane person would chase after someone who isn’t reciprocating them at all like that. I did love his character for the most part and wanted him to end up with someone worth his time. After episode 9, this drama took a dive for me. The writing was a complete joke. The characters were constantly saying, “I’m ending this I can’t ever see you again,” but then the next freaking day they were together again. It was so frustrating! The actress playing Il Ri was annoying me so much by the end with the way she was talking and moving so artificially slowly all the time. Production value was great don’t get me wrong. Most of the actors gave outstanding performances. There were a lot of funny and entertaining moments. But I’d only recommend watching this until episode 9 then dropping it and saving yourself having to endure wishy-washy writing.
So the poster makes it seem like this is a weird snuff film tbh but I'm glad I watched it because it's honestly nothing like that! It's not too graphic or gory. The 2004 version of this story is actually more graphic and harder to watch. They tell the story with actors and an occasional narrator that give you facts. It made me cry by the end. It was so horrible what happened to her. RIP Junko...
I think this would work better and have less of a 'pervy' vibe if they had these two fall in love more naturally. Like, slowly over the course of a few episodes. Also, if they could stop doing the dog flashbacks at awkward times that would be great, too. There's a lot that's lacking here... But who am I kidding? I'm totally going to watch this like the BL ho I am ಠ‿ಠ (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
In the final episode I was really confused why they didn't see eachother when they were in the same building? And then they ran to meet eachother on the beach and finally saw eachother. And the 'game creator' was he God or something?
I was confused at times watching this as to why certain things were happening, but I understood it well enough to be able to say this was awesome. I really liked the message at the end. Highly recommend this!

PS
I’m pissed about that damned ring!! Killing Jun Ho is one thing but to give us a secondary blow with that ring bs is just kicking a man when he’s already down! Love this drama 😢
Only a 6.8??? Okay the characters were a bit underdeveloped because it was so short but it definitely deserves more than that!! This was really good! I almost didn’t watch it because of the rating but I’m so glad I did. Just don’t have crazy high expectations and strap yourself in for the ending and you’ll be good to go!
I'm so happy with this season so far! I was worried they wouldn't be able to recapture the humour and magic of the first season but they totally did! So funny and intriguing!
it had a happy ending or at the minimum an open one, on HiTV it dose not translate the text written at the very…
Thanks for the reply! I just rewatched the ending and I totally missed the scene where she left the house because the credits rolled and I thought the movie was over loool. Having seen that scene now, it totally seems like they met up and lived happily ever after?!? I hope so!
