I would burn the whole world down for them. I don’t care if he really killed everyone. it’s deserved and I would stand with him no matter what. My two babies deserved justice.
The laziest part was the ventilation duct that connected prison blocks to the visitors’ area. And of course…
real life prison vents are nearly impossible to pass through freely. it’s not about the size, it’s about them not being made to hold an adult humans weight and the typically multiple obstacles inside them. But the ventilation thing didn’t even bother me. Him making keys with a circular saw was way way way more ridiculous and improbable.
Let me preface this by saying it’s a 10/10 for me so far……..
but you have to REALLY suspend disbelief. In the show Prison Break the main character was a genius level engineer who tattooed all the prison blueprints on his body and it still took years of planning.
Here, Wookie goes from a door dasher gardner to a genius level jack of all trades who can fix cars, make and cut keys, draw blueprints and actually break out on his first try.
The problem isn’t the actual age gap. I’ve watched numerous dramas with age gaps, some where the woman is 20 or more years older and the romance is still very believable and sizzling. The problem here is the script, the editing, the mismatch in visual /emotional performances and just this particular couple, irrespective of age, don’t work for a majority of watchers. I think I attribute it much more to things that are out of both actors control. The romance simply was poorly developed and executed.
I want to rant a bit more, aside from Vic’s acting in this drama, which i personally think isn’t good (not…
AJTL is one of my top 5 Cdrama’s which is why I was so highly anticipated this one ………. and this one is a mess!!!! I really can’t figure out if it’s the directing or the editing but it’s nothing like AJTL. I would love to be a fly on the wall to know why the two productions are so different in quality.
Do not think her age is being targeted. Think is just the fact that she does appear to be her actual age (38)…
This. He looks very young. She looks her age. and she’s gorgeous! But there is a stark visual gap that isn’t being bridged by her acting so that people can get over it. That’s the issue.
MANY Cdrama’s have older female leads and younger male leads and it’s fine. it’s just not working in this one.
There will be critiquing of the show in this comment. If you don't want to read that, just close this back up…
I agree. There is no visceral emotional tone. It feels disjointed. Forgetable.
it’s all super strange to me because A Journey to Love from the same director is one of the best Cdrama’s ever made. it’s bizarre how this one is just subpar. There discussion on Reddit is better at explaining the problems, but everyone is pretty much in consensus there are problems.
Are we watching the same show? The fight for justice has started from ep 3 and the heart fluttering love between…
I’ve watched 12 Billion Cdrama’s. There is a difference between “He fell first” and whatever this is. She simply isn’t giving ANYTHING. And I’m not alone in feeling this as evident by the many other people with a similar opinion. And I love Victoria so I came here excited for her.
There have been fabulous dramas this year all with incredible chemistry and performances. So this drama looks extremely lackluster in comparison.
A Journey to Love is also one of my favorite dramas that I rate 10/10 so I have high expectations from this director and this simply isn’t hitting any marks for me 16 episodes in.

Yes we are watching the same show and it’s been extremely EXTREMELY lackluster. And I don’t know where you are seeing “heat” between them. She’s giving zero heat.
The trailer for this had me hyped for a dynamic, compelling, butterfly inducing, taboo love story where the chemistry would percolate and our hero and heroine would overcome all odds and prejudice to fight for justice and love. I’m getting none of that 16 episodes in.

I’m not mad at it but it’s absurd lol
Luckily I have Hulu which has both versions. But still….. why wouldn’t Disney + have both.

I’m glad you are enjoying it.
