Seems like im the only with the opinion that i simply couldnt 100% connect emotionally with this part as i did…
no I had the same problem. I think it would have actually worked better if the FL from part one was what she actually looked like on the outside and we saw her primarily and Alice ko we only saw in pieces as her authentic inside. since her mother asked for them to make her look different it would have easily worked with the plot. So I too didn’t connect with Alice Ko as much.

Part 2 is darker, heavier, and emotionally intense, for me. Definitely not for everyone. Despite its slow pace,…

It was a 12/10 until they left the prison and then it was very up and down and uneven. Going to give it a rewatch without breaks to see if it’s better than it was watching weekly and the rate it.

18 episodes are just right.
I think it could have been condensed and reduced for more impactful storyline. But everyone will feel differently 🤷🏻‍♀️

it seems far fetched but it *feels* like she is Hsiao Tung but has a dissociative disorder from the trauma which…

On episode four and there's not a single decent adult taking care of these kids, damn.I really wonder how Pin…
it seems far fetched but it *feels* like she is Hsiao Tung but has a dissociative disorder from the trauma which caused her to either have amnesia or multiple personality disorder.

I think it would have been better served at like 10-12 episodes but it was a beautiful and meaningful watch and unlike others I really understood and appreciated what they did with their backstory and cried during episodes 16/17.

seriously. absolutely NO reason to split it into 2 parts. Thank goodness it’s only a months wait.

How is the romantic part? Is it present?
the entire first 10 episodes is about them falling in love in the very sweet innocent way and all the evil people who hate them because of their jealousy of them. There is angst, a first kiss and then tragedy, but the main plot of the these 10 episodes is their love story.

Title Had I Not Seen the Sun Spoiler
the scene in episode 10 when the words crawled out of the computer and onto her skin ……. you can see her mental break and trauma. This was so well executed and so well demonstrated the feeling one must feel reading and seeing such horrrific things about themselves online…..
