Finally I watched with Part 2 subs. This was my 3rd time but the first 2 I only had the partial subs. I cried so much again. Ji-Yunhe will go down as maybe the most incredible, well written, BEAUTIFULLY acted strong, smart, loving, HEROIC female main character in a Cdrama ever. If you want to watch an incredibly well developed multi-dimensional strong female main character this is the show for you.
Lin Hao Qing also was just amazing as a beautifully devolved multilayered character and I cried at practically all his scenes in part 2 because he was just that good.
Bobcat Prince Li Shou and Butterfly bestie Lou Lou were everything.
I have very few criticisms for this show. I hope It now gets all the attention it deserves. It ranks in my top 4 Xianxia’s with Ancient Love Poetry, Eternal Love TMOPB & Ashes of Love, all of which had beautiful CGI, Excellent Worldbuilding, Amazing well developed Side Characters and epic romance.

From what I’ve read in the novel she DOES really come back and it’s the real ending where she transformed into a mermaid by being sealed with his merman Pearl for so long.

He always loved her deeply and wished they could be lovers but because of their circumstances he understood the most they could be was family (brother/sister/master/disciple and he made peace with that.
Before he sealed her he gave her back his merman Pearl. In the time that she was sealed the Pearl transformed her into a mermaid so that when Shunde's demon spirit was finally gone inside the sealed volcano, Yun-he emerged as the transformed Mermaid. It's not explained well in the drama scene but that's the way it's written in the novel.
She and Dilraba are my top 2 favorites especially for strong powerful females but also for romance. I wish she was paired with more good looking ML's in some of her upcoming drama's.

A lot of people may give you trouble sometimes and you never sink to their level and always stay so polite and kind and positive. I admire you very much. I am not Chinese however I lived for 4 years in both Hong Kong & Guangzhou. This was from 2009-2013 before this new wave of Cdrama's. Anyway, a big hug for you and you're loveliness. This community is wonderful when the people are wonderful. Dilraba is a doll and she's lucky to have such a dedicated support base. As we are lucky to be able to enjoy her beautiful craft. In No Boundary She is definitely stronger because she's an Immortal and he is only a Mortal but........ he's a super strong and smart Mortal fighter who compliments her everywhere he can. He's like the ultimate ultimate super supportive ride or die boyfriend in the world who literally does everything humanly possible to protect her
