he was actually the worst part of this drama. either the writer and director made him act like that or it was his own choice but it was a mess!!! I think he was really just misscast here 😩
What a mess what a mess. The Wan Jie arc was the most compelling and well done part of this drama. Seriously. It lured me in and I feel betrayed lol
After that it turns into a complete mess. ML is a TOTAL disaster who spends the majority of the drama just staring off into space like a deer in headlights while he does nothing. Literally every other character, the ENTIRE reverse haram does more than the ML for 99% of the show. I liked FL in Dance of the Phoenix but she’s a mess here. The weaknesses of this drama are made so so soooooo much clearer when you are watching The Starry Love at the same time because TSL is so well executed and the plot is so well written, characters are all compelling and make sense vs this …….. disaster. I cry super easily at EVERYTHING and I think I shed maybe 1 tear this whole watch. I just didn’t feel this CP dynamic at all. From beginning to end it gave father/daughter instead of master/disciple in forbidden but true love….. sigh. if you have nothing better to watch or enjoy hate watching then……. *gestures to the crowd* enjoy lol
P.S. the CGI was actually pretty good!!! What a waste of some beautiful CGI. Shout out to the artistic director 💕

It’s not on the app homepage when you first open the app or even the first page of “drama” like it was the last 2 weeks.
Chong Zi must not be doing well for Tencent international(WeTv) because they completely removed it from the TV apps homepage and drama tabs so you have to actively go look for it under “latest” and they even moved it down below dramas that aired before it. they’ve basically buried it on the WeTV TELEVISION App. Ive never seen that before…….

the fact that CXX literally wrote all of La Mu’s scenes and La Mu is the shard that all viewers fell in love with means he really understood the role!
I couldn’t figure it out either. they also weren’t clear about exactly what you get for the $1.99
It said advance episodes and a bunch of other things also (I already have VIP) but sometimes they have special packages to get the last 5 episodes faster than even VIP so it should have been made clearer. I didn’t buy it bought was curious.
