Nothing like KinnPorsche or even DFF

this series was so hyped up for so long and the first couple episodes built up that tension that the finale did not live up to in my opinion. if they had more episodes to draw out the multiple storylines then maybe it wouldn’t have been so confusing and stilted. the concept was there but the execution was severely lacking. I think we all needed more time with the main characters to know who they were then given detailed follow-ups for the really complex plot points. the finale could have been great but they had to pack so much in that it didn’t flow at all.

is there a part 2 because that ending was abrupt

6 episodes to build up to something, many plot lines, and then it’s over. is there supposed to be a second part to continue the story or did they get bored half way through filming and just give up? there is a literal 🍇-ist and they’re trying to make a romance out of that abuse? I only watched because the actor from Gen Y was in it but it’s really bland. Porsche deserves a better role. the high school plotline also barely had any connection to the rest of the show. the title practically had no connection to any of the plots.

I’d have rated it higher if it gave me more

there was too much plot for such a short series. it felt like things were dropped in for the creator’s sake then tossed out just as quickly to get back to the main story. I like Yim and Tutor too much to give this a lower score but this show didn’t give them enough room to flesh out the story. I honestly didn’t know half the characters name by the last episode. another annoying factor that bothered me is that most of the conflicts are built up and then it’s immediately forgotten. that could be due to the brief nature of the series but it made it easier to not follow any side characters close enough to comprehend their plot lines.

The genre is pulling a lot of weight

I thought 16 episode would be enough to give a compelling story but most episodes are unbalanced between the couples and the finale episode ends just like every other episode. there better be a second season or this whole thing was just clickbaiting audiences. we got more action in the bts than the actual show. maybe it’s a cultural thing but the sanitization of every scene left much to be desired. how are you going to build up all these weeks and delivery a few seconds of what everyone has been waiting for?

devastating

I don’t know how I avoided spoilers but having just finished the series I don’t think anything could have prepared me for that ending. While I do enjoy the heartwrenching feeling dramas give, this is the first that has ended on such a tragic note. No miracle or happily ever after here. I was crying the last 20 minutes of the last episode. I can’t even say a particular character can be held accountable because it was an unavoidable end but along the timeline of the show they had over 3 years to enact their plan and they still lost in the end. This has to be one of Pond’s best performances and Gun was just perfect. I don’t think I’ll ever have the heart to rewatch it but I can say for sure it was one of the best I’ve seen this year.

can’t help but love Chadjen

I hesitated to watch because I didn’t think I’d enjoy it when it was only available on YouTube. luckily one of the streaming services I have has it and I gave it a shot. I knew Mark Pakin was a good actor but he really shined in this series. Chadjen was my favorite character aside from Chingching. He was so sweet and was a major factor in Saint and Shin reuniting. The only thing I can think of that would make it better is if it was a BL. The main characters are too in love to just be friends. I found Ken and the situation with the teachers exhausting because the problems could have been solved if they weren’t so soft on the students at the start but Ken redeemed himself for the most part. There feels like the Twins and Ken as well as Eve and Airy still have stories to be told. I doubt there’s any continuation of the show but there are plenty of storylines that could be extrapolated on.
