This drama, after 1 ep, seems to have been created from my least favourite trope: noble idiocy and keeping secrets because "it's for your own good!" instead of COMMUNICATING!
On the other side, if people communicated in dramas, they would be 15min long in total!

Review Bed Friend
I loved it as well. Started it on a whim not knowing anything about it and fell under the spell of Nat and James, their acting and their chemistry were impeccable and the story was complex and slow burn, just like I like them.
The hate, as I understood it, comes from people who are fans of the book and who followed filming (which was fraught with accidents, actors dropping out due to health reasons, rewrites and reshoots!). If you come to this without any previous knowledge, you are bound to like it!
I agree with you on Jade: there was something off about him I just can't put my finger on it! He lagged behind in a way!
