The malediction of the second season or how to ruin a brilliant drama! JUST A RANT after a disappointing beginning! I am starting this immediately after finishing the first series I simply adored and I can feel the differences in pacing, and in storyline with the introduction of a bunch of annoying characters! Moreover Nanon seems to have forgotten how to button up his shirt and why is Wave wearing his jacket on his shoulders like a soap opera diva , not to mention that Claire's makeup is making me think she's not being played by the same actress(WTF are you thinking Mr. Director !?!) ?And do not start me on PPLs! What mildly irritated me in the first series, it is seriously annoying me here (the first 20 min of the ep. two are just filled with ads!!! At one moment I seriously thought one character was going to discover his potential while eating ramen!) Please tell me they tone it down afterwards because if I have to watch them continuously eating noodles, drinking soft drinks and wash their faces I am going to drop it! 😡😡😡 Episode 5 and they are still taking forever to eat OK ramen.... Basically the theme of this season is DIVIDE & CONQUER implemented by adults manipulating idealistic kids! Nanon's character, Pang, has lost all his nice sides which made him such a lovable dork in the first season! It looks like he lost most of his braincells when he decided to leave his shirt half unbuttonned: he has been behaving like a total clueless idiot! While in the first season, he would think and figure out the most unprobable solutions, here he is such a gullible fool! No wonder, none of his friends do not want to be with him: he keeps trusting the wrong people, something he would never have done a year earlier! So annoying! On to ep.8 and the backstory of the Director Supot (those anthology like episodes in season 1 were my favourite so I am happy we are finally we are getting one here!) which was fascinating. They also talked a lot about the virus but why is all that talk making me think of AIDS? Maybe it is an allegory? So after listening to Supot's story we were made to sympathize with him and believe him to be better than we thought! Wrong! So wrong, he appears to be much, much worse than we thought! (After realizing that young version of Supot is played by Tay Tawan, I can so see him in the older actor! They managed to mimic each other's micro mannerisms to perfection!) These twists are mindblowing! And they keep coming, relentlessly as the ending approaches! But Pang's stupidity at the same time seems to be boundless! What happened to him? Hope he grows a brain before the ending!
I noticed that in ordinary K romance dramas there are usually two or three couples: the main couple is virginal, never-been-kissed kind while the support couples are mature, not holding back (Because This Is my first life, Be Melocholic, Search WWW etc etc.) Taiwanese Before We Get Married has some steamy kissing in the opening credits but you need to wait for the last episode to see it! Secret Romance happens on the beach in the first episode and that's it for the drama! There are of course two crime dramas with a touch of romance since the couples are mature: Misty and Mistresses. Great list ! Thanks for compiling these dramas!
It's not as bad as Check Out, because nothing is as bad as Check Out, lol
Yeah, so true (I dropped it after 4 episodes!) . And the comments are funnier there than here ! I guess it is a way to relieve the disappointment! It has not reached the same level here! Nobody speaks about this drama on the feeds anymore though! That is a bad sign:😂
I'd personally make an exception for this one. 🎥🎬📺For everyone here that is disappointed and bored, there…
I loved UWMA, I loved the short Between Us sketches they made and I'll watch this when it's finished airing but I found it so amazing how the hype died down after a few episodes ... But not the ratings! So they must be doing something right!🥰
One reviewer said there are a few mistakes in the English subtitles. Wrong. EVERY SINGLE subtitle has got at least…
Thank you for the tip. I saw it as I was watching ep 9 so I tried it and the subs are so much better this way....and it changes everything! 😃 For the better!
The english subs are on another level of incomprehensible. It teminds me of the google lens translations of webtoon Salad Days by manhuahot! Awfull! I feel like I'm learning a new language !🤣I am surprisingly enjoying this more than I expected. I got hooked after they introduced gay dads and normal adults as students in ep. 1. This is such nice kind of fluff...
