Question: is FL supposed to be a foreigner (Korean) in the movie? Curious why HHJ was chosen for this role (she’s…
yes, based on her character's name, she's supposed to be Korean. HHJ's Japanese is quite good though.
On Alice in Borderland Season 3 Sep 28, 2025
idc what people say, this season is still fire and not that far behind its predecessors. Though they can't replace the og cast, the new ones have their own charm, they're just not given enough time to connect with the audience, unlike the og cast.

Omg, I love this. What a realistic approach to marriage & destiny

bcs it is japanese series
ikr, Chihayafuru, Their Marriage and this are quite good but they can't even reach 8. Meanwhile mediocre kdramas easily get 8 or higher.

pls dont tell me all jdramas have anime acting?
no of course, you watch shoujo manga LA and you get this kind of acting. If you watch their serious movies/dramas you'll get more subtle acting.

very well said, btw here's my take about why some people think Takeru is a bit stiff as Wataru. I agree with you, it's how the character is written. Wataru was going through a lot, he always felt like an outcast in Suzuki family, had to give up her dream of being a researcher and was burdened to devote himself to Suzutoya. That's why he was so hard to himself and didn't express his emotion that much. So I think Satoh's portrayal of Wataru couldn't be better, even with minimum facial expressions, he's able to convey the emotions perfectly.

(Slightly mean) Question: is the husband considered attractive by Japanese standards?
he was quite a pretty boy during his younger days, he's in an idol group but clearly not the visual/ace member.
As we know, being phisically attractive sometimes is not the main requirement to be idols in Japan. He's hilarious on VS though and can also act.

The series is coming to Netflix outside of Japan on July 24
Yass, thank God, finally. I was convinced they would air it worldwide when they also added more subs to episode 2.

Thanks for sharing. I dropped Destiny too, the script is average. House of Ninjas is okay, but I really love Ishiko to Haneo. As for me, it took me a while to appreciate their slow paced slice of life movies like
Okuribito, Nobody Knows, Drive My Car etc but now I enjoy them a lot.

I know Jdramas are quite unique and not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm kinda curious what's the particular reason that makes it hard for you to enjoy them. And btw, what jdramas had you tried?

Is it just me who thought she looked stunning before the makeover, true I find women more attractive with longer…
I'm a fan of Koshiba Fuka and I have to admit, she looks waaay better with minimalist makeup. But the makeover plot is important to mark her personality change, that she's no longer the plain and naive Misa. She's now bold & confident. Just my two cents.
