I should have managed my expectation. It's decent but not leaving a lasting impression on me. Yoo Hai-Jin is excellent, I know PJH is one of the best K-actors in his generation but he's just okayish here. The villagers are interesting but the progressing relationship with the king feels rushed. It feels something is lacking. I didn't even cry at the should-be-emotional last scenes. For me it's 7/10
It was an enjoyable movie, really enjoyed the dynamic between the four main characters and their friendship and…
I agree with the direction take, the Jp version doesn't explicitly show that the ML is dying too but the actor looks frail with sad looking eyes so it doesn't feel forced.
I've only watched the first half since it came out quite late at night in my country. Idk how to feel, the ML isn't convincing enough as a gloomy & frail highschooler unlike the actor in the JP version. He looks like a regular at a gym. I love the FL though.
One of my favorite drama from this season, it's hilarious and i love how it tackled a serious issue in an interesting way. I hope the rumor about the sequel is true.
I love everything about this drama, the POV they chose, the direction, the realistic progress of the kids and also the story of the old casts. Touma Ami is a future star, Saito Jun is so good at portraying emotions with his eyes, and the rest of the young actors are complementing each others. It makes me feel old seeing them growing up but I'm glad there's no shortage of good actors in Japan.
HHJ is soo pretty with japanese styling & minimalist makeup. I hope it will be as good as or even better than Shun Oguri & Satomi's drama. Idk but they give a similar vibe.
