LOL! How do you want us to respond to this? Don't watch her if you feel that much dislike bcos that's what I do and just move on. You don't like her and that is fine too. I'm sure there are many others who don't like her but they don't make any comments because they don't care one way or another. Don't worry about it and come back to these actresses in a few years; you may feel differently about them. Time and experience changes a person's outlook believe me! I personally like Dilraba very much and am really glad she is finally getting good roles. Directors and producers are more than happy to sign her on bcos she is the most suitable for these roles. She has millions of fans and she has her own fate; I'm sure the ones you adore have their own fate too and will get great roles too. I hope I didn't offend you with my answer!
You know, I didn't know the story, never read the comic, so I went in with a blank slate but I could totally tell…
Yes you are in a minority here because the majority of us will disagree with your summary of Li ChangGe. For one, it is quite narrow and understates the massive character development she goes thorough and makes me wonder if we even watched the same drama. LOL! secondly, you are hardly the first one to have this viewpoint and there have been beautifully crafted and lengthy responses to more than challenge such viewpoints. I hardly write long responses or rebuttals but I am fired up enough to give it a try. LOL! (Dyslexia notwithstanding) As you say yourself you do not have the background knowledge of the story. Li ChangGe is supposed to be 14 years old and already a talented prodigy. She has just had her whole family wiped out ( in a well-known historical coup on which this manhua is based on) and thought she saw the murder of own mother by her beloved uncle and just manages to escape with her life with a murderous assassin on her tail! I think that would make anyone vengeful, reckless and anti-social. Suicidal even? In the manhua Li ChangGe is a lot more ruthless but also very incisive. Li ChangGe in the drama is more humane unlike the manhua character and saves so many lives. Dilraba plays the role really well and we more than 'warm' to her. And yes! Most of us love a kick-arse, strong, clever and tenacious woman with a purpose. But! Li Changge doesn't take revenge but places her life on the line to protect the 'murderer' of her family because she is able to put her beloved nation above her own desires. Is that tunnel-visioned or lacking humanity? A'Sun's mother has to die in order to release him from the grip of the Great Khan. This is necessary for the plot and Khatun has a bigger hand in this death. If you had knowledge of the manhua, you would know that Le Yan is not even in it as a character and this role was especially created for the drama and a lot of Li ChangGe's plot was given to LeYan. As a fan of LeYan I am glad that starting from a snivelling watering pot she matures into a fine princess but it is a mystery how that happens in terms of the little screen time she is given; when she disappears from early on in the drama and then comes to us so miraculously transformed after undergoing some trials. It's a bit of a stretch. So when ChangGe goes through her trials doesn't she transform too? For you not to see this then shows a serious flaw in your assessement of Li ChangGe. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your viewpoint and I hope I haven't written anything offensive. I'm sure there will be more responses for you to read and no doubt they will be better than mine.
Haha! It's another divination! A bit more detailed than before. I can't see it in the comment section so I posted it. I'll be honest and say it's giving me goose bumps watching on the one hand and inducing sceptical, hysterical squawking on the other!
Yes, I agree with what you say and it's a fair reflection of his role. You can understand Chinese it seems. There are more videos of interviews and bts that show him as an intelligent and likeable actor. My first time watching him too. I enjoy the discussions too and reading other viewers points of view more than my own contributions!
He does toe the line but he is never impartial when it comes to his feeling about Li Changge; we see the conflict he feels when he chases after her with Hao Du, unfortunately, he is not like his father who is willing to die for his loyalty. Shu Yu is a fine and honourable young man who gets manipulated into helping Du Ru Hui but gradually learns that in not taking a stance he ends up losing Changge but does everything to help her thereafter. He saves the life of A'Sun and we are so grateful to him! LOL! I am sorry if I hyped him up but I watched the drama 4times and watched all the BTS so I have a very sympathetic and understanding view of all the characters and don't consider any/him to be irrelevant but he is a fine actor and deserved a more significant and well developed role. Correct me if I'm wrong but you feel frustrated too about this? I tried to look for an interview where he is critical of his contradictory actions in the drama but it is not subbed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzF63hAS49M I hope my comment didn't affect your viewing of the drama?
Nope! I like her too and she was my favourite before I ever knew Dilraba. Just so sad about her current situation.
Ah! I was about to suggest that your CP maybe linked to your profile name but deleted it! I still have to complete Meteor Shower bcos there are no good quality videos available anywhere. You've got a good nose for chemistry, however, as much as I love YAMG I love TLB more.

Same here! Strangely, my favourite is 020. I think she does tragedy really well though, like in The Chronicles of Life! I've watched many of her dramas but not all are subbed. Alas! no more dramas for a while. I've only read YAMG. Anyway, I would love to know your CP for ZS but I think you won't tell haha!

I love YAMG but I quite liked 020 as well. Fans have wanted to see Reba and Yang Yang together since 2016 and FMV like these exist in B stn. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1Rs41167eW/?spm_id_from=333.788.recommend_more_video.-1 I found it funny and thought ZS fans would get upset about it but it seems Reba fitted the book character more than ZS. I haven't read the book so can't comment.
