I got upset about it; they really in fact looked more like bamboo sticks and made me a bit uncomfortable but Dilraba's legs are very shapely and go with the rest of her very nicely. It's a bit cryptic I agree but here is what I read: a commentator on Douban said, if the actors want to act it out, directors won't say no. 🥰 However, when the whole no kiss fiasco came out, someone who claimed to be a staff of the show commented there was definitely a kiss scene as required by the script, and it was blurred out afterward due to his contract with Upcoming.
