gong yoo had more screentime than kang mina 😭 Netflix had her in focus during their script reading but she wasn't even part of the main gang. there isn't a lot of cha woomin either!
overall an okay, easy watch. nothing groundbreaking obviously. i realised I prefer a lil more slow burn. anyways, love eunsoo. she's the cutest, especially the scenes with her dad! wish we had more of them too lol. she's so charming on screen and handles comedy super well
oh wow kim jaewon's in this too and apparently paired against goeun (bf in her youth maybe?), we have yumi's cells 3 on the way as well! hope their chemistry is good
the leads are really cute and such a great match! can't wait for the next episodes.
gotta say lee chaemin is impressive! had not a lot of expectations with the whole re casting but he's nailing it. had to come in as replacements at a short notice, with not a lot of prep time for a historical! impressed!
the visuals including the leads are stunning. production is a 10/10. the story derailed around ep 13, was quite a slog through to get through, but the last two eps were really good. the ost, the angst and romance all well done!
Episode 9 review - It's good, stellar cinematography and well directed BUT if we see this as a drama that had…
agree with every line you said. too many characters, too many subplots. but none satisfactory. none given adequate time or space. the 12ep airing time would have been better spent exploring each member of the rugby team, we hardly know anything about each of them, except ung. especially seungjun and apparently he's a main character *throws hands* 🤷♀️
It's not her. She is doing what the shooting head coach responds too. She wants to get back as a coach to help…
exactly. i don't think anybody's arguing her motivations. infact this might even be a part of her larger plan to take down the coach (if there is indeed one) but the writing on the FL has been mid at best, with no progress what's so ever, and it's even more obvious when in comparison to the male characters, including the aerobic coach. infact, the writing in general has been very inconsistent.
Why do people keep bashing the FL? She’s an athlete who suffered heavy psychological trauma after being abandoned…
she has supportive friends around her. and ju guram as well now. she selflessly came back to help ujin, it's not because she isn't strong imo. she's going to those lengths only to genuinely help her student.
but it's frustrating nevertheless because we see no progress in her character. when she finally took a stand against the coach when he injured ujin, it felt like there was some progress at last. but only for it to be back to square one in less than an episode. I'm pretty sure we will get a satisfactory ending for her arc but these scenes are a hard watch, and there have been too many imo.
what even was today's episode?? these dramas make me certain they switch writers in the second half. what even was the point of kicking out bae iji from the team only to have her come back kneeling to that asshole ALL IN THE SAME EPISODE??? this some humiliation kink of the writer being written into the FL character?? Im Semi deserves better!
for the ep3 no contact accident case, did we get any conclusion/verdict? i feel like they left it halfway, i mean the verdict seems quite obvious but it wasn't wrapped up quite the way the other eps were.
