holy the gamechanger guy made his debut in the trunk with gong yoo and seo hyunjin?! that's definitely something! he had that actor aura tho even from his intro. he was acting a bit in that intro interview too you could tell from his expressions 😂 prolly a model turned actor
I think the contrast between her previous harsh demeanor and the softness and fragility she shows now, might be…
well said. completely agree with you. that vulnerability she shows now also was something she was hiding behind her sass and power all along, probably due to her loss in life, to form no close bonds with anybody else after her sister. i totally see why he would fall for her, he might even find that side of her quite relatable
sian is not like her (sian is batter then meena sue)
oh agree. sian even cried when she had to reject tae oh last season. i meant in terms of narrative.. as a main character or focus of the story. we had gwanhee in s3 sian in s4. feels like they are setting up mina sue to be the one in s5
the first two eps were fun! can't wait for the rest. to those who are starting this, the first 20 mins might be rough but stick with it. it gets better and the 2nd ep was really good. it sets up the tone and story well and i love me a good office romance. good sensitive writing regarding the pregnancy in the second ep too.
switch to English subtitles instead of English SDH. its a lot better.
i watched with the normal English subs on acc, it wasn't great either. had learnt how terrible english cc is on netflix so didn't even bother with that. but seems like it was particularly bad for this drama.
the dialogues, especially in the second half, were way too complicated and confusing when translated. i would chalk it up to Netflix's terrible subtitle work (as usual). but it made the story difficult to follow. at one point i understood better just listening to the korean dialogues lol and tbh using google lens to translate the korean subtitles directly proved to be far more helpful at times 😭 yeah it was a struggle! Also Muhee rambled a lot which made the dialogues quite long too, and prolly is partly what made the subtitle work more complex.
ep 10 i can't make up my mind on whether i like being tricked into watching a very different story/genre after being promised a romcom. the hidden plot twist is fun fosho. but imo they could have been upfront about it in the promotions too and i think the audience would have enjoyed it nevertheless. maybe more infact. the very romance-centric netflix promos kinda feel weird now when we are dealing with very serious mental trauma and disorder.
still worth watching it for go younjung tho. she's truly owning the show atp. maybe the drama too will surprise me again by the end.

is tvn even promoting any dramas these days? both pro bono and the latest undercover miss hong had avg promotions. those are sat-sun slot too. meanwhile sbs seems to be a doing a good job
