i agree with you. when we finally thought we had a pure evil women protagonist, they had to add these emotional layers (I'm really enjoying the drama too), which they would have never done if it was a man. infact even the audience wouldn't try to justify or humanise them. we could have had all the psycho edits instead of the sympathetic ones on tiktok rn. imo, more than it being a direct change in inkang's character, this one was brought about as a consequence of their decision to change ajin's character in the drama. in the manhwa she doesn't feel any emotions, no guilt. no bond with grandma. she's hardly human there but the drama has made her experience all of those. she's more human here, shows feelings at times.. so inkang's arc and end were adjusted to meet the emotional tangent of that choice.
