Agreed! this is going down in my "best dramas to ever watch" list

I don't usually watch 40 episode c-dramas bc I know I will drop them halfway. I usually stick with the 24 episode ones tbh. But this one intrigued me and the plot was so well written and thought that it felt like 40 episodes went by so quick.

Definitely worth the watch despite the 40 episodes. The episodes go by so fast and I wish there were more!

His acting was great in Ping Pong Life and I liked his loveline in the drama! Such a good plot!

Hey! IDK if you are far in the drama. But I think after ep 30 things kinda go downhill just for a heads up. Im on ep 42 and waiting for subs for ep 43... and tbh the writing started getting sloppy. But I'm still watching to the end bc I really want to see Xu Tan reach success and happiness lol. From reading the comments, I went into the episodes after ep 30 with low expectations. Now Im watching everything in x2 so that I can reach the end and see Xu Tan succeed.

I feel like romance part of this drama was not the main focus. Its more about the development of characters. :)

I just finished episode 37 rn and Im watching Xu Tan trade his soul for a chance to be world champion. The only thing thats keeping me going is the smaller teaser we had in the beginning of Ye Ke Nan and Xu Tan walking into Rio 2016 together as partners.... hopefully all this "rising like a Phoenix" to "falling from grace" of Xu Tan leads to a better ending.... bc nothing is going right for my boy....

Oh and am I the only one who is not really enjoying Cai Wei and Ye Ke Nan's relationship....? I wish they can just let each go. Im happy for Li She tho... it seems like the PT is a potential love interest

Im on episode 30 and this is probably one of my fav episodes partly bc we finally see Xu Tan away from ping pong and trying out new hobbies aka basketball and meeting new people. I like this Siheng girl so far... Please someone let Xu Tan find happiness.... It's been 30 episodes and the boy has worked too hard for having no love life and no wins in the sport he loves.... come onnnnnn

kudos to him for getting so much into the character and role to have to change his body from a scrawny ping pong player to a strong buff ping pong player in ping pong life

his chemistry with Sandra ma is *chef's kiss*. Yeah sometimes we just need a less romantic drama. TBH I was surprised that I got into this sports drama bc its 30+ episodes. I honestly dont watch a lot of c dramas that go over 24 episodes. Exceptions are this one, YAMH, and A little thing called first love. Im so glad I found such a great actor like Bai Jing Ting. Definitely gonna look out for more of his work.

Agreed! It's a great watch. Dont watch if you are looking for romance. I'm looking more for hero/character development. Also Bai Jing Ting really worked hard to go from a scrawny ping pong player to like a strong athlete. If you are looking for romance for any of the two male actors go to You are my Hero or Midsummer is full of love

I am also watching both at the same time. I think You are my hero really gives me the romance that this drama lacks. Also we get to see Bai Jing Ting happy and strong in you are my hero while in this drama he is a bit of the weakling turning into the strong character.

I agree with another poster. He looks so good in a uniform LOL I can't believe hes in two dramas that are airing at the same time. Ping Pong Life and You are my Hero! I'm excited to watch both soon!

I need Park Sun Woo (Hae Young's bro) to be alive in the end! ugh im on ep 13 and I'm hoping they can reverse everything so the good guys are alive!
