This was an ok drama for me. Idk, it was good the first half, like I wanted to keep watching, but when I reached the twenties I kinda lost the urge to keep going. But since I thought I was this far already, and I dislike dropping shows and only do so when my interest 100% drops and continuing is like wasting my life, I continued. Around the end of the drama my interest re-piqued and it was an enjoyable ending. I appreciate happy endings especially in wuxia dramas where 90% of the time one of the main couple dies a tragic death trying to save the other. Su Yishui (Deng Wei) I have to say went through many different shades throughout this drama. He changed a lot which sometimes I didn't quite follow how bro literally shapeshifted through so many different personalities, but I'm glad he found his peace with Mu Qingge (Xiang Hanzhi/Julia). Overall, a solid 8/10. Maybe I expected it to be better bc of the high rating on MDL which is lowk impressive, but ig u can watch it if you want to, it's not really really bad, it's not really good either but its just ok. (Ignore my rating for music unless its really good I just put a two for everything)

AHhhh I went into this for my queen Zhang Jingyi, in the beginning I didn't really like her that much but after a few shows she just kinda grew on me. Anyways, about Blossoms in Adversity, at least it didn't force me to keep watching and it was an enjoyable ride albeit a little flat. I had no problem keeping on watching, but there was nothing really urging me to go on most of the time. At some point in the middle I actually rested the drama for a day which is quite unlike me. Putting that aside, I loved the character development of the Hua family and the main couple of Hua Zhi and Gu Yanxi (Hu Yitian) was a nice match, but in my opinion I LOVED the little romance going on with Shao Yao and Shen Huan sm. It was just so sweet and wholesome, and I loved Lu Yuxiao's encapsulation of Shaoyao, she captured the innocence and "vibe" of her perfectly. I think I'm becoming a fan after My Journey to You and Perfect Match. Ok wait, I just came back from looking into Lu Yuxiao's profile on MDL. I am shellshocked. She has acted in so many dramas that I've watched yet didn't notice it was the same actress! Like The Longest Promise and Love you Seven Times which is a favourite of mine. OMG wow! Moving on, Blossoms in Adversity is a nice, free drama. I especially appreciated how they didnt knock up a huge fuss about him being the Commander of the Security Bureau or whatever, and that Hua Zhi wasn't bratty or temperamental about so many things that in other dramas, she would have. Overall, a solid 8.5.

I watched this for ding yuxi after seeing love game in eastern fantasy and romance of tiger and rose. Maybe idk my expectations were set too high but this drama was like ok. It's not bad, its not good. It's purely ok. The acting was good, the ost was typical chinese drama ost, but I can't find anything in particular I dislike about it it's just that I had to force myself to keep watching. Which is a large sign that this show wasn't that good. Without egging myself on to continue I would've dropped this show before episode twenty-five hit. I'm glad Ning Yuxuan and Ji Man (Peng Xiaoran) got their happy ending, but idk it just wasn't really to my taste. Oh well, opinions differ I guess. (p.s. I LOVED GUI BAI (He Changxi) AND MISS SHUI (Luo Qiuyun)OMG AHHH) (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I finished!!! That was such a long 56 episode journey, finally ended the journey of Ling Buyi (Wu Lei/Leo) and Chen Shaoshangggg (Zhao Lusi). I particularly loved the way it ended, none of them had to die bc I had a sneaking suspicion Buyi was going to die but luckily not. Both of the main did so well in portraying their characters and conveying emotion. The storyline was top tier to, with Shaoshang realizing her love for him at last and Zisheng learning to love her and understand her. One thing I really liked was even after Shaoshang felt betrayed by Zisheng, hearing the sound of her flute play was enough to release his grip on her string even while unconscious. It just pays such nice attention to their relationship and hints at the ending. Anyways, I'm just happy they stayed together after that. A little unclear about the engagement between her and Yuan Shen (Li Yunrei) but it all ended well. A solid 8.5 in my opinion.

Love Between Fairy and Devil is a real hit. Normally, when the guy reappears at the end claiming to be reincarnated it annoys me to see just him popping out with no real explanation whatsoever. But this time, it somehow was enjoyable. When Orchid is reborn as Xi Yun, but still remembers her love for DFQC and activated the Glazed Fire in him while possessed, and in the end had to kill him to eliminate Tai Sui, I cried. I don't cry a lot in daily life, but to go through with the story of Orchid and DFQC till the very end, is must. Basically all in all, must watch for anyone who hasn't yet. Yu Shuxin (Esther) and Wang Hedi (Dylan) did a fantastic job on this one.

A great drama. One of the rarer ones that are not wholly romance oriented and yet still has an amazing ability to hook you in. It reminds me a little of the Legend of Zang Hai, both focusing on revenge instead of love. Wu Jinyan and Wang Xingyue served with acting, visuals and chemistry. The whole plot clicked, from the control Princess Wanning (Li Meng) had on Shen Yurong (Liang Yongqi) to make him do such a horrible thing to the wife he loved, and fate giving Xue Fangfei a second chance at life. Fangfei and Xiao Heng/Duke Su had a really positive relationship, albeit it being grounded on her plans of revenge and his plans of revenge as well. This drama deserves all the praise it gets, it's really great. The development of the relationship over time, them both not losing their heads over romance and staying sharp the whole time. The lead couple fit together well, the whole drama overall was well paced and had you hooked till the end unlike some other dramas that make you suffer trying to watch them till the end. I'm quoting another review now: "Xue Fang Fei was a female lead worthy of respect." I 100% agree with this statement, there was no silliness or immaturity, she was grounded and knew what she was doing the whole time. Quoting again from the same review, this time about Xiao Heng: "he was a drool-worthy male lead. Powerful, skilled, intimidating while being gorgeously green flag. " Sometimes others put things I mean to say into words better than I ever could, therefore I take bits and put them into my own perspectives. Overall, The Double was powerful and enticing, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)

Watched this for Zhao Lusi and Dilraba, my first of Wu Lei (Leo) and Liu Yuning. The Long Ballad was not what I was expecting at all. I was thinking a centered romance around Li Changge and Ashile Sun and a little bit of Li Leyan and Hao Du with little to no character development. Boy was I wrong. Li Changge being powerful and able to fend for herself was commendable, the love between her and Ashile Sun was pure and the chemistry did it's thing. First: Li Leyan's character development. With Li Changge's life being turned upside down and Li Leyan being naive and immature in the beginning, I thought she would stay that way during the whole show. Despite it being centered on Changge, I don't know how they had time to ground Leyan. She reached the real world away from a glazed life in the palace, and learnt a lot about life. The development is crazy with this one, the stark contrast with the Leyan from the start to the Leyan in the end. This just shows how much a real world life can do to perhaps a spoilt child. Moving on from Li Leyan to Changge and Ashile Sun: their romance was tangible from the beginning, although Changge was focused on justice, and was initially captured by Ashile Sun to be his military strategist, they slowly shifted their relationship. The visuals served and the cast came together naturally with no strain in sight. This drama was a good watch for me, no forcing myself to finish watching just for the sake of it, despite the lengthy 49 episodes. All in all, I highly recommend, and a solid 9/10. (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)

Liu Xueyi nailed it as Murong Jinghe. He captured the elegant royalty, and also a little touch of insanity and intimidation Murong Jinghe was supposed to possess perfectly. The way he spoke slowly and flirtatiously the whole time was perfect in this role. I loved how even though he was the one to poison Mei Lin (Wu Jinyan), she didn't blame him. Also the fact that when she died, he didn't marry anyone after but still managed to live a full life as emperor. Normally, the still-alive one of the couple retires of his/her duties and just lives in mourning until they die, or if they are an immortal they wait till the other reincarnates. Overall, praise to Wu Jinyan and Liu Xueyi is essential, providing us with amazing acting and visuals, and is a drama that you should watch if you like this genre. Lmao. I was taking Love like the Galaxy in as a 56 episode drama, not a drama with two parts. I finished watching this part, part 1, the first 27 episodes, no problem. It was enjoyable at the time, but idk. I feel like after watching it, it wasn't memorable. I don't really clearly remember what happened the whole time. I watched this to see Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi together, but in the beginning where their relationship wasn't built yet was kind of slow to me. I don't really like slow paced dramas, so maybe that's why it wasn't as memorable to me. However, I don't remember disliking it at all or forcing myself to watch it at all. I don't know what spell this drama put on me that made me enjoy it then forget it straight after. My review just sums it up: I don't know how I feel about this. I rate it an 8.5 because the cast is good, and the story seems good. I just can't seem to remember the whole thing. Quite good overall, watched this for Zhang Jingyi and Zhour Yiran ofc: the chemistry hit. I expected this to be a romance oriented drama. but what I got was completely different. The sheer amount of emotions packed into this was uncalled for. There was a kiss at the end that all of us were waiting for, but other than that there was no other intimacy - and in my opinion, nothing else was necessary to confirm their relationship. They belonged together and you can see it. I hated Qiao Qingyu's family though, even though they changed for the better, her mom and dad were no help to Qiao Beiyu at all. The only reason she was avenged was because Ming Sheng helped Qingyu reveal the truth. There was a little rift where Qingyu tried breaking Ming Sheng's heart to get him to stay away from her, but thankfully that didn't work fully. Overall, a really deep emotional drama. Recommend! Idk what everyone is on about in the reviews section. Honestly it wasn't that bad for me. The teacher-student relationship was a little out of hand, and the ending with Jeong Jae-I not choosing either Kang Ha or Kim Ri-An was a little disappointing, I expected her to make a choice to stay with one or the other. The visuals of the cast were honestly quite good. They all did a really good job with some really great shots of the scenes as well. A little thing is that it ended with such a huge cliffhanger. And as someone who hates cliffhangers, this put a little annoyance into my mind. With no Season 2 or continuation, I feel like the ending was unsatisfactory with not all the strings tied up and conflicts resolved. All in all, I don't think it's as bad as all the reviews are saying it is, but after all this is just my opinion. (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)

A solid 8/10. Ding Yuxi carried in my opinion. Deng Enxi and Ding Yuxi fit together quite well, and I liked the pairing of Lu Chuichui (Xiao Yan) and Jiang Langxing (Gao Ji Cai). The added touch of the obsessive romance Lai Luozhi had for Lu Chuichui was interesting, showing a little insanity on Lai Luozhi's part when he started to get a little too possessive, even kidnapping hr to be his wife. Deng Enxi's character Yan Xing can be a little annoying at times, with her recklessness and stubborn nature, never listening to Shen Du and getting them nearly killed all the time. However, I like her wit paired with Shen Du's power and the little past backstory they had together when they were children. The character Shen Du kind of fell from grace as I read in another review, in the beginning he was depicted as powerful and intimidating, while as it went on he wasn't as stoic a figure anymore. However, these are all small points, and all in all, it's not a terrible drama, some of you might like it. In my opinion, it's simply all right. Just as a starter: hard to believe but this was my first Xiao Zhan drama ever. This was the one that led me to the rest of his world, recently having watched The Legend of Zang Hai too. Ok, off topic, getting back to this drama. In my opinion, the ending was a little confusing. Like was Shi Ying there or is he just a figment of Zhu Yan's imagination or did bro spawn from a flower? But Xiao Zhan did a great job, and Ren Min also did not bad. The story was good, the comedy was good, there were just a few parts that weren't as good like when he dies and Zhu Yan somehow revives him. Like that doesn't make any sense. She was not especially good at martial arts or anything of that sort, so why should she be able to do such a complex spell? I get it's because of their love, but it was a little far-fetched. Overall, you can watch it if you want to, and it's not the best drama ever, but not the worst either.

My second Xu Kai after Falling into Your Smile: a significant decrease in rating. Maybe my standards were left too high after seeing FIYS, but this drama was not my thing. I mean it's not bad but it's not good either. There was a little break in between watching when I gave up, but finished it in the end. Tan Songyun (Seven) and Xu Kai both did well in terms of acting, but the chemistry seemed a little off. Idk, they were good together but could be better. The fact that Ji Xing did everything so impulsively and left Han Ting with no time to explain annoyed me. The ending and especially the extra episodes satisfied me, depicting their married life and having kids was really nice to see. The secondary couple, Li Li (He Ruixian) going on to be with Su Zhizhou (Tang Zhenchao) instead of Xiao Yixiao (Luo Zekai) was one of the better decisions in this drama. I feel like Xiao Yixiao just couldn't give her what she needed in a relationship, so Zhi Zhou was the right choice although I didn't hate either relationship. A completely healthy relationship however was the one between Lu Linjia (Zhou Dawei) and Tu Xiaomeng (Wang Yilan). They were really cute together I feel like. One thing though about this whole mess of different relationships, was that Ji Xing's good friend Wei Qiuzi (Wu Shile) ended up with her ex, Shao Yichen (Gao Han) and even got married. The way they broke up was questionable, and the fact that Ji Xing even went to their wedding and was okay with it was crazy. If I was her I would be so annoyed and betrayed. But other than that, it was an ok show. The main enemies were gotten rid of and Han Ting and Ji Xing got their happy ending. (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)

I feel like I'm in the minority once more with this one, seeing it as an 8.7 overall from yall which is lowkey impressive but just a 7.5 from me. Now let me explain. The casting ate, no doubt. The chemistry was chemistrying with Zhang Linghe and Xu Ruohan. As a little summary: The cast casted. The chemistry chemistried. The characters charactered. The visuals visualed. The acting acted. The emotions emotioned. But the story did not story. Everything was amazing, the casting, the acting, the production: the only thing that let me down was the plot. It was alright in the beginning, but started blanding out during the middle, picked up the pace again and then lost the pace again. Some episodes were unnecessary and although 28 episodes is little in the cdrama industry, I feel like it was too much. The plot was flat, with no drama whatsoever except a little when the ex jumps in and maybe when Shen Xifan decides to go to Switzerland and maybe when a little drama between her and He Suye develops. The ending was satisfactory with their marriage and the loose ends tied up (i love it when that happens, when there are no cliffhangers or reappearances of dead characters) All in all: too long for a story like this, had to force myself to finish watching it. Plot really too plain for me, nothing really happening most of the time. Watching it feels like I haven't watched it. Not as bad as some, therefore the 7.5 but could be improved. If you like simple romances, should watch, but if you're like me and don't, stay away. It will bore you to death. (p.s just my opinion, if you like light dramas watch it, you will probably enjoy it. :) (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)
