Yes! I came here to look her up, because she reminded me so much of Liu Tao from Nirvana in Fire. I am currently watching her in Love Like the Galaxy. They both have that same kind of no-nonsense demeanor.
I miss you unnie!! I was rewatching mystic pop up bar for the third time!! and you never disappointed me. I love…
I put some of her dramas in my plan to watch list again, and MDL really needs a "Rewatch" category. Rather than watching a lot of the unknown dramas I haven't seen yet, I keep going back to old favorites. Currently, that's Kill Me Heal Me. High Kick is next on my list, and Can You Hear My Heart...and that's probably going to lead me to rewatching some Namgoong Min dramas. Such a trail to travel.
that isn't yangzi, i even spent effort watching it and that aint yang zi lol
If that's the case, then she definitely has a twin. I'll concede, though. Unless Yang Zi comes in herself to say, "Yeah, that is me," I'll just keep the lookalike idea in mind. Looks JUST like her, though. You saw the scene where she is at the table talking to Bai Ze? It's hard to believe that's not her. I can't think of another actress that looks like her, and it even sounds like her.
Wow, Yang Zi is in this? With NO billing, and a very small role? After winning 2 awards in 2016? Episode 34 at the 2:54 mark. As popular as she is, you think they'd have her name in the cast list, anyway! I'm blown away. If that's not Yang Zi, then she has a twin.
Gah, revenge, politics & war...NOT what I look for in dramas. I might have to force myself to watch this one, however. It KEEPS coming up with rave reviews by a lot of commenters on other dramas. Oh, I hope I don't regret this.
Unlike others, I didn't have any problems with the acting, at all. I seriously LOVED this drama. It was SO well done, and the production was top notch! I'm a bit ashamed to say I would likely have missed seeing this, if Sean Xiao didn't have credit for his bit part, because he's the reason this even went on my watch list. There is something that I'm not happy about, and it's that I don't see the actress who played Grandma mentioned. I think I've seen her in other dramas, and I wanted to see why she was familiar. So disappointing! She had a key role, WHY isn't she listed on the credits?
Just finished this drama, and having one of those "how to move on" moments. I don't think I'll ever forget Si Feng. I KNOW I'll never want to forget him. This drama definitely has re-watch-ability!!
Enjoyed Wu Xin 1, and thought I found subtitles on Dramacool for Wu Xin 2. Yes, but only to episode 6. Episode 7 is raw. I tried to watch it, but it's too difficult to see what the progression will be without the language knowledge. Sadly, have to drop this one.
Guys "Romance is a Bonus Book "or "Something in the rain"What do you prefer ??And why ??
I would watch Romance is a Bonus Book over and over again. It was just...perfect. I want to go work at that publishing company!! Something in the Rain, noooo. I can't stand that song they used endlessly in the OST. I had to push my way to see it all the way through, and I love watching Son Ye Jin in anything.
Thank you, I feel so lonely not liking this thing at all. I just don't get it. Most of the jokes are people getting…
I came to read the comments because I'm not as thrilled with this drama as everyone else seems to be. I'll be glad when I'm finished with it. I can't fault the actors, they're all doing a good job. I'm just not in love with any of them (well, maybe Sol), there is nothing to anticipate except more gags, there is no mystery (finding out who Sol's dad is would be interesting), and it's about as far away from the real Waikiki as could be possible. There's nothing really "beachy" about it, except the decor. The humor is only rarely funny to me. I think I prefer humor to be more subtle, and less in your face. I like to laugh because it's surprised out of me, not because it's expected.
I've just started watching Mr. Sunshine and being the Kim Jiwon fan that I am, I was pleased (and definitely satisfied)…
I have enjoyed Kim Ji Won in about everything I've seen her in. She always seems to bring smarts to the roles I've seen her in, which I really appreciate. (Maybe not in Gapdong, but even there she was a webtoon artist.) As for who she looks like. Ha ha! I have thought for a long time that she and Lee Soo Hyuk could pass for siblings.
I hesitated to watch this because 58 episodes is daunting! But the more I watched, the more it pulled me in, until I was finally binge watching. It was stunning. The clips I saw prior to watching this couldn't describe the sheer scope of the entire production. Some scenes I had to pause before watching, because that particular story arc made me impatient, like the scenes with Li Jing pining for his lost love, or Su Jin's plotting. This drama really showcased the difference between protestations of love and truly loving. Love isn't ownership. Love is sacrifice. Watching the difference between the two female villains who believed doing anything, right or wrong, to win their "love," and the quiet but resolute sacrifices of both Mark Chao's characters for their love, while maintaining their integrity, was impressive. Princess Feng Jiu was a blend of the two concepts, both willing to do almost everything, and sacrificing for her love. This drama will linger in my memory for some time to come. I will definitely want to visit, again. The sets and costumes were stunningly beautiful, the story was epic, and the different characters all left their infusions for a drama that will linger long after watching the last episode. I didn't know who Mark Chao was before watching this drama, but his acting really brought both Mo Yuan and Ye Hua to life, and he has become an actor I definitely want to see more of. If you haven't watched this drama yet, I highly recommend it.
