Watching this drama because of Ni Ni. Have not watched Eternal Love except first two episodes, so I can't make comparison. Am at Ep 27 now and continuing with it. To me, Ni Ni is still the the best FL based on acting skills as compared to other FLs of the other dramas with similarity in story concept.

Chu Mu is being immatured. Fu Rou do not know what's the misunderstanding about! The usual misunderstanding in Cdrama between ML and FL spoilt the whole drama!

Totally agreed! Rise of Phoenix could have been as good also but sadly the later episodes really affected my ratings! The casts were good too especially the ML.

With current pandemic situation it's understandable that all filming would have been stopped/delayed!

Wan'er played an important role in this drama, being the heiress of the Neiku (not sure if I got this correct) asset! Fan Xian seek her for emotional support when Teng Zijeng died. She's brought him comfort during his saddest moments. I love Li Qin too, but I suspect she will be replaced by someone else in S2. Check out Li Qin and Uncle Wushu's profile here and you will know. Hers and his list of upcoming dramas do not have JOL S2. In fact, I suspect some of the casts from My Heroic Husband will appear in JOL S2 and one of them could be playing Wan'er's role! Just my suspicions!

Oops! Wrong person. Allen Ren resembled Ray Lui Leung Wai (Hong Kong actor from The Bund) at certain angle (the younger version of Ray).

Well am one person who preferred good acting with interesting storyline than a pretty face with poor acting. Allen Ren is doing fine here otherwise I wouldn't be eagerly waiting for the next subbed episodes (Am at Ep 12). At certain angle, Allen Ren resembles Zhang Ruoyun (Joy of Life ML). I preferred these MLs who have certain charisma when on screen! As for FLs, they will shut be out with their common annoying and over-reacting childish attitude. Too many of them in Cdramas!!

Slow pacing but it was good and enjoyable to watch. Some dramas are slow and you just want to skip it but not Story of Ming Lan. Honestly, I have watched more than three times already!
