For sho. There's no progress in their relationship . Well everyone's relationship tbh.
Honestly I found it pretty amusing. Ryo was half falling asleep while Chika is spilling her heart out, Minami telling Hikaru that it was none of his business whether or not she had a man. I'm loving every second. I stopped thinking this was a romance and begun to interpret it as a comedy. 10/10 would recommend lol
EP.4 and we don't even know anything about the girl in the film. They do well with the characters, with personality…
This ain't no romance drama. It's literally a thriller, Minami scares me and I find myself covering the screen whenever they show the film because I'm anticipating a jumpscare or something lol
NOT Ryo falling asleep when Chika confessed lmaoooo. Also, his music is kinda mediocre? Maybe it's because I was traumatized by a "musician" in HS but yeah lol. When are we gotta get to the real good parts?
That ending thoooo. I really thought we were gonna get something in ep 4 since they teased it in the previous episode. I guess we're waiting another week ðŸ˜
Honestly I'd like to believe they did. The last song was about "going to the zoo" and Wongyu is staring at the phone booth, probably contemplating whether or not he should call Tae Jun, if he's ready to start a new life with someone else, since he has finished his "mission."
I love how the film ends. Its not a sad ending, thats what i think.
I don't think it's a sad ending at all. Lee Tae Jun (guy in orange puffer jacket) talks about how a guy like him has never been to the zoo, while Kang Wongyu is flying around the world for work. But when the credits roll they play a song that sings about going to the zoo, so I'm willing to believe that it was a hopeful open ending. Maybe after his flight, he visits Tae Jun again? Tae Jun talked about wanting to bleed dry an "ugly looking" man and then tells Wongyu that he has ugly lips so I'm just going to go delulu and say Tae Jun took him back to Germany and they lived a happy life haha
I absolutely love the use of symbolism in this movie. It is extremely tastefully done, especially the way that…
You explained it beautifully. As some other comments have mentioned, I think our ML uses gum as a coping mechanism to calm his nerves, also in Korea it's commly used as a phrase "chewed up gum" meaning a person you (usually) have sexual intercourse with and then dump, maybe it's why he see him chew the gum after every time he does anything intimate with someone else?
I feel like there are a lot of layers that I'm not yet understanding about the movie. I'm going to give it another watch a few months later and see if I can catch anything new.
update: yoooo why am I crying! it did make me jump a lil but if you cover the screen it's not scary at all.
