Nope, we are talking about two noble families: Kim Tae Rim’s and Byun Yo Han’s. KTRs grandfather once was the king’s teacher. He hasn’t lost his dignity unlike Byun Yo Han’s grandfather. That man would do anything for wealth and power like killing off Eugene’s father to sell the wife to a powerful man.
Now BYH is actually engaged to KTR. That’s why BYH will leave Japan for Joseon in ep 4.

I don‘t compare Frequency with Signal (Korean) because they are simply different in my eyes. I love both. Frequency for the father-son-relationship, Signal for Lee Jae Han :) There‘s also the Korean Movie Ditto where two people from different time lines are connected by a ham radio. It is also one of my favorite movies.
