I have to disregard this as an adaptation because it's pretty slanderous as one. But if I think of it as its own…
As a long time original manhwa fan as myself, i would just probably think of this adaptation as another story. I hate how they changed the major plot of the story.
What was ML profession in the webtoon? If she was a teacher. Maybe they wanted office romance here.
Yes she was a teacher and she love her students and is dedicated to her job. Business proposal was a good office romance but positively yours was a breath of fresh and on a different level because it was not your usual office romance troupe. Her being a teacher was a major plot in the story and part of her growth as being pregnant and getting married to ML.
there are 10+y older dramas with similar tropes, a famous one with jang na ra too so it's nothing new
LoL that's what i thought to. As a long time webtoon fan, i just don't get why they change a lot of the major plot of the story. Yes they got drunk and had ons but that was just about it. It was a one time thing. FL was a kind and dedicated teacher and she didn't even got drunk after knowing she's pregnant. I better reread the manhwa đ
She is antagonistic because of her parents. The way their marriage turn out.
Sorry, i can't help but compare this drama to the original webtoon because I'm a very big fan of it. FL was never this hyper and antagonist to ML. She is was a teacher and she love her students and her job. It's just that she has a negative view of marriage and raising a kid because of her past experience with her divorced parents. But her parents were never portrayed in the webtoon as trash as this adaptation has made them to be.
wow new formula unlocked to get explosive ratings on MDL: Add a one night stand and steamy kisses to the pilot…
One night stand and getting pregnant troupe has been in kdrama since way back late 2000s to early 2010s. Search for jang nara's you are my destiny (though it was a remake to taiwanese), but also my secret romance, hogu's love, what's up fox, wonderful life, super daddy yeol, three dads one mom, my love by my side, i do i do and best wedding to name a few.
i feel like the changed the whole baseplot, the brother and teacher plot and others, this just feels like mix…
You are right!!
I just want to add that they changed the MLs background. In the original webtoon, there is a reason why ML was written perfectly and flawlessly. He has a good family dynamics and is good at everything he does because he was meant to be that kind of ML, he is the anchor and the main foundation of their relationship where FL should overcome her traumatic experience from her divorced parents. Why add another traumatic backstory and a psycho(?) sis-in-law??
Also, why change it to office romance? The original webtoon was doing good with it's original plot. FL being a HS teacher was also an integral part of her story and growth as being pregnant and being a mother. She was never this bubbly and quirky kind of FL. She was a little bit serious and cold, total opposite to ML's kind and warm personality.
And FL's mother? She was a gray flag in the orignal webtoon but she was never this trash in the drama adaptation.
Her guy best friend was also never in love with FL ever since. He treats her as a real sister and was truly in love with the other girl best friend.
Honestly, I wish they didn't change it to much as the original webtoon itself has a solid fanbase.
There's still 2 episodes and I'm still willing to watch this until the end because I'm a really big fan of the webtoon. And I'm also curious how the story will fare given that they change some major plots from the original webtoon.
Sorry if this seems like a rant. But this is just what i feel as a long time fan. But I will still think of positive thoughts and will root for this drama to succeed as we are still on the early episodes moving forward đ
I never understood the republican era scenes but I'm still staying because i like the story in the modern era and i like the ml and fl chemistry soooo much too!!! Chen Xing Xu is such an eye candy, he always portrays his characters perfectly!!
Why don't you look at the actors as actors? If they like the role and accept it, we have no right to say anything.…
Just because you hate age gaps doesnât mean others will too. Personal discomfort isnât a universal truth. Many people value emotional connection, stability, shared values, or life experience more than a number on a birth certificate. For some, age gaps work because both partners bring different perspectives that complement each other, not because one is superior to the other. Disliking age gap relationships is a personal preference and thatâs valid. But projecting that discomfort onto consenting adults, or framing every age gap relationship as harmful, ignores nuance and the fact that adults can think for themselves and make their own choices. Respect goes both ways, you donât have to like a relationship to acknowledge that it can be healthy, consensual, and none of your business both in dramas and in real life.
Ml role requires mature man (35+ Years) to play father role for 8 year old son , so to makes sense they casted…
Thereâs nothing wrong with being in a relationship between a 25 year old woman and a 40 year old man, as long as itâs consensual, respectful, and grounded in equality.
Age alone doesnât define the health of a relationship. What matters more are shared values, emotional maturity, clear communication, and mutual support. Two adults can be at different stages in life and still build something genuine, provided neither is being controlled, pressured, or diminished.
Love isnât a formula, and it doesnât follow a timetable. What matters is how two people treat each other, not how old they are.
Also, a relationship between two consenting adults is not grooming or pedophilia. Pedophilia involves sexual attraction to prepubescent children, and grooming refers to manipulative behavior used to exploit minors. A 25 year old woman is a fully grown adult with legal and personal agency. Labeling an adult relationship as âgroomingâ or âpredatoryâ misuses serious terms and dilutes their real meaning, terms meant to describe harm to children, not consensual adult partnerships.
What should be examined isnât age alone, but behavior: respect, consent, balance of power, and freedom of choice. When both individuals are adults who enter the relationship willingly, with autonomy and mutual respect, it is neither abusive nor predatory by definition. Using extreme labels where they donât apply doesnât protect anyone, it only spreads misinformation and unfair judgment.
Why would they unalive the big bro in the adaptation?? His brother's daughter (aka niece) has a major role in the story as well as her male best friend and they are also considered as the 3rd ml and 3rd fl in the story.
I'm also curious as to how they will play the plot considering that she is not a teacher here. In the manhwa, she really love being a teacher đ„Č
He did say that watch again he said that the writer of light blue book (JY) was very ambitious it starts at 32:50…
can i also comment about woojae? even though jeyeon really likes him and was real in her feelings about him, i guess he had a different approach after they reveal their jobs. i felt that he was somewhat insecure about jeyeon, he always comment about what he had in the past and what impact it did to him now (which i think is justifiable but given the perspective that he always contemplates on things, it doesn't go well with jeyeon's personality and career wise tbh). also korea is a very patriarchal country so it doesn't surprise me that men thinks that they should be more of an alpha rather than their female counterpart. so i get woojae's sentiments. he should just be honest with jeyeon and so that she could move on and lean her feelings towards jimin. jimin's personality suits jeyon more but this is just my own opinion. waiting for the next ep. fighting jimin!!

Zls is old enough to play this role. I'm also tired of seeing here in hs dramas. It's about time she accepts more mature roles. And a 10 year age gap is ok as long as either party is not s minor.
wow i love the styling and make up of shen yue here. also, did she do PS or she lost her baby fats? i think she got here eyelids done. i'm not against PS though, in fact she looks good here than her previous dramas.
He was one of the guys most Fl met after Peng ghosted her. He was a musician and and thought she was into him.…
Oh probably didn't catch up on him. I was probably fast forwarding that scene since i was frustrated by them. I can't even predict whose actors are popping out of nowhere lol thanks though
