On rewatching this I realised that the reason I like the show so much is because its so very well written with…
I cheer whenever they introduce new character, I come to the point when I like Gao Da (2nd prince bodyguard) because I think his relationship with the 2nd prince is cute. I like how everyone seems to be their own individual in this drama.
That's the fastest I have ever gotten through 46 episodes. Now, what do I watch that's on this level.
yeah, I love this drama, perhaps nirvana in fire or legend of yanxi palace can be a good watch. They kinda different but they have the same tight writing
GPG that in youtube has been censored and cut for almost like 1/3 of the story. I don't think it fair to compare…
I don't think they have, the overall story isn't that much difference , just a better transition, more plot explanation with some xxx scenes, more kiss scenes and scenes that deemed "unfit" for broadcast. I didn't manage to watch all the original either, just until ep 20 something. The drama was taken down right as the drama ended and then they aired the edited version after several months.
On the other hand, I think the outline is very similar despite GPG use a fictional kingdom. The King is in love…
Probably because they have no other actors so the characters are all limited? XD I think the fall in love with sister in law is the backbone in many royal cdrama, Palace Cdrama is a reverse harem at its best, everyone loves the main characters, also all the rope in the GPG costume makes me doesn't want other people to know that I watched it.
Yeah love the intro of the king, I think the king in the Queen Cheorim is definitely a 100% virgin. He has never done it and has this sweet cotton bubbly view of romance. I am really glad they remake it. The story is serious and high stake when you remove the Queen aspect but everything changes now. She has a man soul that from the future and doesn't get afraid of anything, actually wanted to die and understand women, so you get this weird juxtaposition. I wish the series stays good since sometimes the ending can be a letdown.
This drama has a beautiful camera placement, it so neat and the view is really good. Ep 2 is also really goof.

It's really low budget compare to other Chinese costume drama. It's weird to say this but the body armour, the reused clothes, the still frame, the sudden insert ads in the drama, the fake flower, the lack of actor, they have no extra, they borrowed extra from another set that was filming there, they do each other make up, wardrobe bought from the web, they sings for the OST because they can't hire other singer. It was popular because it's so cheap looking but entertaining. Every time they mention the word "armour", it's ads for the sponsor. Yeah, it's a parody and meta at the same time, when she looks at the camera, the clothes are all wrong and they just make up stuff with a lot of jokes.
Kissasian got in from other sources but it's uploaded in 2016, after the censored. Many Cdrama get edited by the ministry of broadcasting because of guidelines.
I think both drama has different points to deliver, it's like sitcom and weekend drama.
This drama itself is very interesting. Not just Bong Hwan and his comedic scenes, the king's story is solid too.…
Andong Kim and Pungyang Jo are rivals historically and I think they picked just the right time for the era. The name of the queen and the royal concubine also matched. I can't believe they find the perfect era for the korean version.
i tried watching go princess go just to see how similar mr.queen is to GPG...i dont know what the hell i saw...…
On the other hand, I think the outline is very similar despite GPG use a fictional kingdom. The King is in love with another woman, he isn't more powerful than the queen dowager. The Queen is from a powerful military background that under the Queen dowager's line. The bathroom scene, the going to he gisaeng storyline, the cousin that in love with you (implied). How the queen likes the concubine, how she said she doesn't like the king. The set up is almost the same. GPG is indeed a total parody when they want to make skit whenever it's possible while Queen Cheorin is a comedy based on real historical event. There are many similar dialogue and Queen Cheorin is like the polished version of GPG. I think the production crew is really good at choosing the right time frame that matches the setting of GPG.

GPG that in youtube has been censored and cut for almost like 1/3 of the story. I don't think it fair to compare it since when I watch it back in 2015, it's a drama that has low budget, the sponsored is a condom brand and they really just want to make a parody drama. I tried watching the reupload and I don't think it was that disjointed back then.
Queen Cheorin on the other hand is really well made for drama watchers while GPG is web drama 20 minutes that you can watch just to laugh and enjoy the time. Iirc the original is a book or a webnovel that also not similar with the web drama adaptation.
