Mi Ran is not dumb, but there is a lot she does not seem to know, and she hasn't fully thought her plan through in a rational way. She has also not taken responsibility for her own dishonest actions. So she will be blindsided.
She doesn't understand Jae In and Seung U's relationship and the fact that Jae In has a lot of affection for who she thought was her little brother. Jae In was never her enemy.
She has never gotten that Jae In does not really want to run the company in the first place. But she does not want to see it outright stolen from her family either, and that is why Jae In is fighting so hard right now.
She does not seem to understand that her brother placed Seung U in the company under Do Hee's leadership so he could learn, mature, and eventually take his place within the company. While he was learning from Do Hee, he was still acting out and not taking it all that seriously. Her son is still not in a place emotionally to take over the company.

i am hard pressed to feel one ounce of sympathy for Mi Ran. she is the most unlikable character to me.

Broke up with Do Yun's uncle while pregnant and didn't tell him she was. Went off some where and had the baby. Convinced her brother to say the child was his from an affair and deceive his wife. Married the assemblyman because of his family name. (She got what she deserved when she did that because he was a big time player and cheat.) Now she has pretty much disavowed her own niece and is still lying to her own son.
I am trying to figure the loan shark out. He backs Se Ri and gets Gi Chan's brother in trouble with a loan again, and messes with his mother's restaurant. Gi Chan's going to trust him after this?

I don't like that she is working at the restaurant or that Do Hui's mom is being deceived like this. I don't understand the plan or purpose. If this is just to set up some big dramatic blow up it's kind of a cheap and lazy way to do it.
