I think if the writer wants to redeem people who have done awful things, they really need to start laying the groundwork for that earlier in the drama. Waiting for the last few episodes makes it all seem so shallow and sends the message that you can do bad things to others and not be held to account.

I agree, it's just a dumb premise to incorporate if the entire idea is going to be discarded. I have heard of other dumb stuff, like actors with no kissing clauses in their contracts going for leads in romantic comedy roles. Why directors and production teams put up with that kind of stuff is beyond me.

I don't know if it was a problem with the actor but an actor should not accept a job they are not up to. If the problem was with the writer she should know enough not to write a story about twins and expect the viewers to accept very few scenes involving the twins. Don't make the story about twins if you are not going to see it through until the end.
