Although I like XK, I would not want to compare his performance in particular role and assume other actor might not be as good as him. We will never know how Dylan Wang, YY or others will postray YZM. actually, most of the FL in Xukai's dramas where he was ML was strong and dominant. Such examples include The Legends, AMA, Court Lady (XK's screen time was less than SML), ALP, She and her perfect husband, BCE

YZM was promoted to president of East China (not asia) division. YZM is ready for wedding/marriage any moment, so it seems that MCH is the person who 'delayed' the official wedding.
In my opinion, MCH became independent and more temporary thinking that values the nature of relationship more than the convention concept that the two must marry before being with each other. During that 1 year, I think they do have itimacy, being with each other and they aren't bother with wedding protocol. Mai family considered him as a member, son in laws and her mother understands and respect her choice and her individual life. I don't think that she will be strict at only having sex after marriage.
