As a violinist, I had to drop this like 5 episodes in because OMG the violin portrayals are just SO unrealistic…
I know next to nothing about to musical instruments. I've literally only touched a piano twice in my life and no other instrument, and even I know that the violin music was completely off.
Spoilers for everything that happens after episode 17:
TLDR: Tiangen is expelled from the Huo family. Huo Tiangen breaks up with Wei Fanqing over a misunderstanding that happened between their dads. There is a one year time skip in which Tiangen now runs a food truck and Fanqing is successful in running her own restaurant, being chairwoman of Yanis, and also the executive chef at La Mure. Tiangen's grandma and Fanqing's mother clear up the misunderstanding and the two get back together in the very end of the last episode.
LONG VERSION: La Mure is falsely accused of using tarnished oil in their cooking. Huo Tingen shoulders all the blame to save Yanis and La Mure and thus is kicked out of the Huo family. He moves in with Wei Fan Qing.
At the same time, Huo Tianzhe's mother's bad financial decisions with Yanis leads to trouble with the entire corporation. Huo Tingen realizes that Tianzhe kicked him out of the Huo family so he wouldn't have to deal with the trouble his mom caused and be free of the family. Huo Tingen convinces Tianzhe that they can deal with the issue together and goes back home to help him. To solve their troubles, Yanis would need to sell the land where the nightmarket is located. Fanqing and her friends find out about this and go protest at Yanis. In order to protect the night market, Fanqing uses her Yanis shares to become chairwoman and stop the sale of the land.
It's revealed that Wei Fan Qing's dad indirectly died due to Huo Tingen's step dad in the past. Wei Fan Qing's mother finds out and refuses to allow the two of them to get married. Huo Tingen overhears this and breaks up with Wei Fanqing so she doesn't have to choose between her family and him.
One year passes, they clear up the misunderstandings and get together in the end.
C: I was wondering when this article would come out. I remember participating in this survey a while back. Nice article! I personally watch dramas to distract myself from my studies. A sad ending is something I'd think about for days, which isn't really conducive to a focused study environment.
Ok, so I'm at episode 9 right now. I think it's because The original So young (Queen) is becoming more and more apart of the body, rather than Bong Hwan being the main person who is within the body. Like there'll be moments where you can tell So Young is in love with the King and you know those are her feelings and not Bong Hwan's. I can provide more context, when I watch more episodes.
Can someone please explain if this is BL or not? The synopsis is making me confused. I just watched the first 2 episodes and it seems as though Bong Hwan will mainly have control of So Young's body. He's also portryated as being straight with no gay feelings in the slightest. I'm not against BL, I just prefer watching heterosexual romances, so if someone could clear this up, I would really appreciate it.
Maybe too realistic for me? At episode 7 but not motivated to continue watching :-(. I escape to drama land for…
ik what you mean. I don't mind dramas like this one, but I feel like you need to be in a certain mood to watch it. I mean at least I won't be binging the drama when I need to be studying for exams
On episode 7: The dad is the type of person I hate the most. He puts on a good face pretending to be a good person and claiming that he loves his son and daughter when he was the one who ruined and broke his entire family. Yes, Khun Net is terrible too, but at least she's openly a douchebag. If the dad truly loved his son and daughter like he claims he does, he wouldn't have cheated on his first wife and he wouldn't have lied to his daughter about how her parents died. Nai is literally dedicating her entire life to these criminals because she thinks they saved her life when they were the ones who killed her parents. The dad loves his mistress when he's married to his wife and when his wife is gone, he claims he loves his wife and not his mistress.
why are they doing only 60 min per episode? Are they trying to emulate Korean style drama episode format? I really liked the 1 hour and 30 min episodes for lakorns :(
