Just finished it and wow. I loved it!! The series should've been called "Strange Relationships" instead of' Secret', yes there were secret but, the relationships between these men were STRANGE AF!! But I enjoyed every minute of it! lol
Okay, began watching yesterday because I needed a break from My Only 12%, now I'm on episode 6 and... I'm about the END OF MY EFFING ROPE. Like what am I watching?! There's edging and then there's whatever this is! I mean I love it! But still!! LOL Is it BL, is it a bromance, is it a drama, is it a slice of life. By this point I'm just vibing, like I've got no destination just me and my ship. And it's only episode 6 mind you. Any words of wisdom anyone?
I thought this korean remake was gonna bring it... but oof, this was tough to watch. I had to force myself to finish it. It has all the basics of a great BL but the characters were not well define, the story felt compacted and loose at the same time, the overall plot of the "film making" was not delivered at the end. It was a quiet mess. The couples had a little chemistry when it came to kissing but in other scenes it was nowhere to be found. Even tho it had some funny moments, I can't help but feel disappointed. Feels like a step backwards for Korean BLs.
I remember dropping the original one because it was too focused in Tutor/Fighter and Zon/Saifah hardly had screen…
I had the same issues with the Thai series. I remember reading that because of Covid restrictions (at the time) they had to cut some scenes that never got filmed and the Tutor/Fighter story took the spotlight as a result. Nevertheless can't wait to watch this version! 😁
for something on the lighter side, the choice to turn nuea into an object mid-way falls back on really annoying…
I just wish they did something new. And you're totally right, imo Typhoon deserved better. The drama between Dao and Kluen was overextended unnecessarily. Also the chemistry between them was really off. The acting was questionable too.
Well, it was a pretty bad BL series, I gave it a 5, and I think I have been generous, the only good thing with…
Maybe. Personally I took a break from BL Dramas in the beginning of 2022. All of the pandemic was just me watching every BL I found interesting and then I kind of grew tired of the repetitive tropes and bad writing/directing/acting. And now that I've come back its much better tho. Perhaps you need a short break or just avoid certain types of series. For example I no longer watch BLs about high school students, that's my "trigger". Lol
Okay, i need to vent. No spoilers. Just watching this for the first time. Ep 10 just ended. WTF! When did that happen? Has that been going on in the background offscreen? That was an amazing way of showing us that. I can't believe I was adamant about watching this show at first.
At first, I thought this is gonna be another bad Korean BL, then I was like OH this is like a silly comedy BL. And that was that. Having that mindset I didn't took the show too seriously and the last episode was really cute.
I'm not mad about it and I enjoyed it. At first I honestly thought this was just a show happening in the same universe of the first season. After realizing my error, I was sooo hyped. The story in my opinion did what I wanted after the first season ended, worldbuilding. Now that that's out of the way, I do think a third season is due, there's still a lot of potential. I'd love to see a third season that really focuses on the questions of: Can a Mono and a Probe truly be happy? And, can love really blossom between two Monos? Just my two cents.
I suggest to anyone who is doubting on watching this series or any other: Do not trust the bad comments. I suggest you make your own opinion by watching it.
I had a blast watching this series and I watched the movie version just for kicks. It's not anything groundbreaking, it's a good BL with a lot of heart and a nice story. You won't waste your time with this one.
