I think I found my favorite couple of the year. I like how well they communicate, no prolonged misunderstanding and they treat each other with so much respect. Hope they stay like that.

Not gonna lie, last week episodes was a bit lower than my expectation. BUT!!! I really like episode 3. I was smiling throughout the first half and then tears started to well my eyes when Minju talked about his past, ah also when the village leader threw salt at Yongju. It's a really good drama for me if I can get emotionally invested in it. I feel the leads chemistry too.

Wish someday Lee You Jin and Han Ji Hyun star as a couple in romcom drama. I find his Kang-Hajun hotter and had better chemistry with FL than the ML Hajun.

At first I was hesitant to start watching Cinderella at 2 AM, But Wow, I ended up watching 4 episodes in one sitting! I Enjoyed it so much. Sometimes it gave me Business Proposal vibe which I really love (definitely not only because JooWon's house is the same house that used as Taemoo's).
I'm looking forward to the rest 6 episodes and meanwhile I'll rewatch the first 4.

I agree, for mixed genre it's almost inevitable to be heavier as it on its climax and I'm fine with that as long as it well executed and have the half of final episode to have the same vibe as the lighter episodes.
For pure romcom, I'm not that fine, haha. What I don't like the most is when they prolong the separation angst and then only to have less than five minutes happy ending.

About suddenly slapping murder into romance drama umm... After going through my watchlist I feel like I only remember bothered by it in Crash Course in Romance. So, I think I'm in 'romance with thriller side' camp. But I will always welcome a good real romcom drama like DoaFF.

I've watched Please don't Date him and I like it. The leads are cute together. It was my favorite drama of his before DoaFF.

Yeah, actors should try various roles but somehow I wish my favorite actors to stay away from villainous roles. haha

I actually don't mind if romcom get mixed with other genres like fantasy, mystery or crime as long as it's done right and tell the viewers from the start that it is not a pure romcom. In fact most of my favorite dramas are those mixed genres. What I don't like is when romcoms, pure and mixed, become less and less funny as the story progress, only first few episodes that have comedy and the last half episodes have too much angst.

I've watched Gaus and yeah it's funny till the end. I mainly watch kdramas maybe I will check that Jdorama when I fall to kdrama slump. Anyway thank you for the recommendation.

Okay, out of 2024 kdramas I've watched DoaFF is my favorite. I watch kdramas to get entertained and feel happy and it did great job at that. I smiled most of the time while watching it. Jun and Yejin have great chemistry, the kisses are 🔥

This is what a RomCom drama should be. Most of romcom dramas forget the com part in the later half and sometimes become too melodramatic. Any recommendation for romcom drama that stay funny till the end?

Jun's acting really improved a lot since the first time I saw him in Buamdong Revenge Club. After that I've only seen him in positive roles, somehow I barely heard his role as villains, maybe just from the dramas title and synopsis I thought those are not my cup of tea so I didn't bother to check them. I think Weak Hero Class 2 will be the first drama where I see him as villain.

So Shin Jaerim wasn't making things up when she talked about the "utility pole collector" 🤣🤣🤣 Chamin-ah 🤦

Oh, to people who still consider to watch Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale or not, I suggest just watch it. If until 4th episode you don't like it then simply drop it and move on to other dramas. If you like it, good for you!
I personally love it. I can't stop smiling while watching it.

Many viewers said some contestants of dating shows just participated for fame or money not really for love. It makes me wonder whether there are people who are actually willing to come to these shows without getting paid just pure for finding love. They have to sacrifice their time and become vulnerable to viewers' scrutiny, instead of fame they may gain hate.

Unfortunately there is misunderstanding between them and based on ep 9 preview it seems Hyewon have major breakdown.
She's really bothered by Hwihyun's interactions with Sangjeong and SeoKyung and thinks that he doesn't care about her feelings.
I'm still rooting for her to get back together with him, but if they don't, it's okay as long as she's happy. She is my favorite girl.

Since the first episode I hoped Kang San to be Lee Seol but I didn't want him to take the throne. I'm so happy I got what I had wanted.

Yooha was more savvy about politics than San. It's because he grew up in Hanyang (or near it) the Joseon Capital and no one in the palace know Lee Gyeom's existence so there's no danger threatened him thus he had more access to learn about politics. On the other hand, San spent his time hiding far from the Capital and learned more about martial art for his own survival and maybe for revenge too so he's not as savvy in politics. Though I'm sure if he become the king he would eventually learn about it and be a good king with the help from Yooha. But No! I don't want San and Dan-oh to be trapped in the palace politics, I want them to live happily and freely outside the palace. Both of them had such a suffocating life. San had been chased since he was a kid and Dan-oh became her family's main breadwinner since such a young age. So I hoped they they could live a worry-free life.

This is one of the few very enjoyable 2023 dramas for me and it has the most satisfying ending. It's not flawless, but overall it's a good drama. The mystery part about Lee Seol was well done, It's fun guessing who is who. Love Kang San and Yoon Dan Oh, they support each other and communicate very well, such a good couple.

I love 18 Again and fall for Ryeoun in it but I personally don't consider it as time travel drama because there's no other timeline, it's always in the present and the younger version of the dad isn't from the past, only his body got younger but not his mind/soul. It's like Detective Conan the manga/anime. 😁

That aside, I would also recommend 18 Again to people who enjoying Twinkling Watermelon, both are fun and heartwarming.

To people who want another fix of Ryeoun, I would recommend The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, he and Shin Ye-eun are cute here. It also has some nice bromance. The first half of the drama will make you keep guessing and doubting about who is who actually.
Oh, one more, Through the Darkness, he is a supporting character but it's a very well written crime/murder mystery drama.
