Do I need to watch the series to be able to understand and watch the movie?
Well I for one think that you should definitely watch the first 3 seasons (& the specials as well.) Just so you can appreciate every little thing in the movie. And, in my opinion the seasons are far, far better than this movie. I mean, I liked this one too, but the series is so much more complicated, fun, inspirating, etc., so it's REALLY worth to watch!!! Don't skip it, you'll love it, really!
I do admit I have somewhat of SLS, but it's not because of the actors - it's because I really like both characters. Sorry, I wouldn't be able choose... thank God it is not me who has to choose (poor Oto :'D) I think Hirano Sho's doing pretty good as Haruto. :) Oh, and his voice is sexy. <3
I'm glad I hadn't read the tags here on MDL before I watched the drama - it would've spoiled the whole show.... ^^" Also, I'd love to see the special... but haven't found it so far :(
Most of the time I don't eat anything while watching dramas, but when I do, it's mostly chocolate, or some fruits, or both. Drinking is another thing, because I usually drink a lot of water and/or tea. And there is no winter season without me watching dramas & drinking hot tea.
~Edit~
Now that I'm watching Kami no Shizuku, which is a drama about wine, I was craving for some good vine - so I went to buy something and now I'm drinking semi-dry Muscat Lonel from Tokaj. :D
Wait... what?! No real kiss from Ha Suk Jin?! REALLY? How could this happen?! :D Otherwise, the drama was OK.…
Yeah, I mean, I really don't mind that there was practically no skinship and their relationship was developing slowly; they were sooo cute and all. It was perfect, I think. :) BUT, at the end it would be nice if they had just a little bit more passionate kiss. :D
Wait... what?! No real kiss from Ha Suk Jin?! REALLY? How could this happen?! :D
Otherwise, the drama was OK. And I loved the slow paced & natural romance between the first leads. BUT NO REAL KISS FROM HA SUK JIN!!!! Why, just... why?! He's one of the few good kisser in kdramaland! :D Dear Korean screenwriters and directors, or whoever is responsible for this part, please, please do utilize that great ability of him! XD
I don't really get all the fuss about Taek being Deok Sun's husband... I mean, when a few episodes before the 18th (I can't find which episode was it), the future Deok Sun says her husband doesn't like interviews, it was obvious for me that Taek is her husband. Oh and Deok Sun's first kiss-scene is an other strong clue for me, even if at first it was told as being a dream.
So... I wasn't surprised at all :D If the husband was Jung Hwan, now THEN I would be surprised. :DDD But now, reading couple of the comments below marked as spoilers, I'm confused, why is that I saw it so differently then the majority? Is there something wrong with me or what? :'D
do i have to watch reply1997 before watching this?
Not necessarily, but if you care about spoilers, then watch them in production order (1. 1997, 2. 1994 and 3. 1988), because there are some cameos & crossovers; in the 1994, they show who married the main girl in the 1997, and in the 1988 there is a similarish (maybe not as obvious) spoiler about the 1994 series.
So if you want to watch all the three Replys, then I suggest to keep the order. :)
...that BBC Sherlock OST at the end of ep.80, while Geum Jeong Do was trying to figure out certain things in his mind... :DDDDD Now that was funny. :D

Thanks for writing it. :)
Not what I expected - it's so much more!
