omgggg the SML is going to find out that Yusen is still chasing Xi Guang and throw a fit.. I hate himmm ugh

To each their own! I thought his playing a character with alexithymia was super boring, as normally we don't get to see many expressions from him. It almost felt like playing a character with alexithymia was an excuse for limited vocal and facial expressions. I dropped Smile Code, especially because of Lin Yi, and I find that in his dramas, most of his expressions are overly reliant on camera angles and osts. Open to seeing how he performs in this drama though, since I love all of Zhu Yi's works

Never watched derailment but watched the other 3 (+ Love scenery, everyone loves me, and smile code) and agree. In my opinion, Lin Yi isn't very versatile. Haven't read the novel for this drama, but unless the character is a genius and slightly stoic - only making a few facial expressions, I can't imagine Lin Yi will do this role justice 😬

SFL blamed FL for sabotaging her interview at this big company. At this time, SFL does not know that FL's family is well-connected with that company. FL says "if I wanted to ruin your chances, the company wouldn't have even contacted you in the first place". Just as she said, she has the connections to get SFL into the company, but when FL makes the call to HR you can see her hesitate at the last second and type in a wrong number (probably to avoid making others feel inferior). when SML pulls the phone from her and hears the dead number message, it looks like FL was bluffing and makes her look even more guilty to the group

Oops! There's so many misunderstandings between them too 😅 At their last meeting before graduating, Zhuang Xu asks Xi Guang what will happen now that he's chased away the one he loves (without clarifying who this is) and Xi Guang misunderstands thinking he's talking about Ye Rong and replies "she'll come back". So Zhuang Xu takes this as Xi Guang saying she will eventually forgive him and continue liking him. Another misunderstanding was when Xi Guang gave Zhuang Yu money for his mother's surgery. Ye Rong lied to him and said Xi Guang was bragging in the dorms saying "since I loaned him money, he'll definitely return my feelings" which is why he paid her back so fast with 10% interest. There were so many misunderstandings that could have been cleared up if Zhuang Xu communicated directly with Xi Guang, but he never did

Totally agree with this. they're a textbook case of wrong person wrong time. it's clear xi guang is already starting to like yu sen, especially since she's having thoughts like she wishes she met Yu Sen first. she definitely needs this type of healthy communication, emotional maturity, and understanding. unfortunately for Zhuang Xu, he was just a few steps behind

Before Yu Sen got into an accident, his friend called him and told him Xi Guang was interested in him and wanted to meet on a blind date. Yu Sen was also interested in her, so he was driving to meet her and then got into his career-ending accident. Xi Guang doesn't have any recollection of this and probably never asked to meet him in the first place (which is the misunderstanding), but the actual details of what happened haven't been revealed yet

i feel like he got what was coming... even though he was misled by Ye Rong, he never cared to clarify the misunderstandings or properly communicate with Xi Guang. he also never apologized for how he treated her. he looked for thesis materials and tried treating her, but he never tried to take accountability for his actions through words. compared to Yu Sen who believes he was wronged by Xi Guang in the past but apologized for treating her poorly and made peace with her just after seeing her tears in the hospital.

this male lead is SO perfect omg... the amount of times he's secretly hinted at their future wedding. how he takes care of her. how his eyes are always searching for her. how he notices when her mood subtly changes. how he calls her his "future boss," which can also mean his future wife. i'm so obsessed with them. their chemistry is absolutely insane and i need more episodes immediatelyyy

WHY IS THIS SOOOO GOOD I THINK I LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE KOREAN VERSION!!!! The ml is so fine, and the fml plays the strong character seeking revenge so much better. so excited for the next episodes!!!!

the people hating on the drama bc there are no kiss scenes are weird. that said, the drama was fine, nothing more, nothing less. there wasn't too much going on, so it got kind of boring at some points. i will say i like how natural their relationship and dynamic were. to me, this drama is more like something i throw on in the background. i also skipped all the scenes with the secondary couple.

honestly if i had anything better to watch i probably would have dropped too.. so much back and forth and the plot does not progress for so long

that part was kind of unnecessary if they were going for the realistic end imo.. if the fml liked the ml for his childish and headstrong nature, i dont understand how the breakup even happened. and ofc he's afraid to touch her 😭 she just got MARRIED

at points i was watching on 2x speed and you're so right LOL i literally forgot it was 2x speed

it was fine but nothing really special. there's no REAL plot, it's just back and forth of the same thing. there were so many unnecessary "plot points" that could have easily been avoided, ESPECIALLY the breakup. completely unnecessary and i think it was left in to somehow stretch the drama 2 more episodes.
