It's just my opinion, as a old drama watcher I felt like I have found something worth watching after Queen of Tears. Can't judge any drama so early, but this is so good. Her traumas, him giving her his shoulder to lean on and cry, their neighborhood and childhood friendship, everything is refreshing to watch so far. As an adult it's easy to relate to the FL, still I wasn't expecting that she would slap that chris b!tch, ugh that was a moment of satisfaction. But..... but..... It's sad because we all are going through some $hit but we don't have a Choi Seung Hyo to offer us his shoulder. Why God Why?????? Life is so unfair.

I know he has an important role here, but I still wonder why doesn't anyone give him a main lead role till now. NGL, He deserves it.

Yes, she's a greedy woman, and tbh I don't feel sad for her. Because she knew that this man would have other women. But it's pathetic now that she realizes her opponent was never a consort but XY. Any woman good or bad would lost her mind upon realizing this. He himself doesn't have the guts to express his romantic feelings to XY, because deep down he also knows that his desires are unacceptable.

Right now I'm watching this only for XL and the only thing I want is nothing but his happiness (which I'm not gonna get). But I can't deny that it felt so good to see XY and Jing together. Yeah for a little moment, but it was peaceful to watch. She always wanted to have a simple life filled with peace so it's acceptable so not gonna cry over the fact that she didn't choose XL.

CX, this man needs some urgent treatment. Yeah, you got married to several women for political purpose. But if you see from their (consorts) POV, it's pathetic to even think that in a special occasion your husband loves to spend it with his sister. Bro even went out with XY and Jing. I was waiting for him to stop his acting with Jing the moment XY left. And king of petty didn't disappoint me.

LMAO, I'm feeling sad for CX's consorts except the Queen. Those women had to marry a man for political reasons, then get to know that man is already in love with his sister. XD Episode after episode man is losing his last braincells.

I love how XY is back to her previous self and what she's trying to do with Jing's elder brother. It feels good to see her and Jing in good terms again.

But......but my man XL, bro is like "I'm gonna act like a villain every ducking time so that she will never know my feelings." Bro, just chill, she doesn't have any place for you already.

Everyone has suffered here, but the one who is gonna lose more is none other than XL. He remembers that XY is afraid of loneliness. But what about his loneliness? I could relate to him the most because of this. Everyone has someone to share their story except XL. Getting the girl was never my headache, but he deserves happiness and a perfect closure.
I wish XL would confess to XY at least once , so that we could see XY's reply.

it was hard to forget the epilogue

Ugh I have tried to understand this Jing character. Like, yeah some women like this kind of soft men blah blah. But ugh, him spitting the blood after every minute is pissing me off right now. Who is better- is a subjective opinion, so not gonna fight over it. But the moment someone says that "No Jing is not weak Jing is not timid" I lose my patience. He's like mommy's boy who needs love all the time.
When XY was about die, who saved her? XL. Again who broke her marriage? XL. Getting the girl is not the only happy ending. Yet, XL should find some peace.

What's wrong with people? from 8.6 to 8.1?????? Bro just let it finish at first.

I didn't said it negatively. Also I don't think the opposite of a weak man is always someone with "hard personality." Being rude, being able to speak for yourself, being able to protect your lover, and being weak are totally different things to me.
His brother and that woman took his advantage because he didn't know how to stand for himself. XY liked him when he was Shiqi, he could give her the life she wanted. But here I'm talking about Jing. One shouldn't be over kind that anyone could step over him/her. If you are this weak how can you even protect your close people.

Thought it's for XL, but now it explains everyone's pain. Even though I'm XL fan, I believe no man around her really deserves her. If I think rationally she should leave everything and find her own happiness.

Some people are angry on Jing as he didn't do anything to stop her marriage instead of being sad. Well, weak and over soft men like Jing are not my cup of tea. But, be real in that situation Jing couldn't do anything. He has a child, he is already married, so it would be more complicated. Yet, in the end he called her which was covered by FFB's voice.

On the other hand, CX is forgetting that he's a king now and has wives. Man is losing his mind slowly. We think we could do anything if we have power only. But CX forgot that power comes with responsibility and one should carry the burden to maintain his power. Even if I forget the siblings part, as a king he can't be with XY.

And then comes, most foolish man XL. Man be like- "I'm gonna ruin everything for XY's sake but not gonna fight for what I want." Not for a single moment bro thought of fighting to win her heart. I can't believe XY doesn't feel anything for him. "I don't deserve anything good" - Man took it seriously.

Some people said Fenglong is the safe choice for her now. But I feel he's not attracted to XY but her title and status. So a big no.

And yes the grandpa handled the situation perfectly. I don't see any reason to hate him in the drama

LMAO, I almost forgot who is who and what they did in the first season. I just remember two things, one- The Epilogue of the novel; two- As a XL fan I'm gonna cry a bucket.

Among them, at first, I watched Reply 1997, it was so enjoyable. Jung Eunji was a perfect choice for the role of Shi-won, and the best thing was their accent. That time I was a teenager, so those feelings I felt while watching this drama are unexplainable.
Then I tried to watch Reply 1988, but my first attempt was a failure, and then I tried again. This time I failed to watch it. I was like "Ugh, this is so boring". Then one night my little sister played the first episode and soon we became addicted to it. What a journey it was! We felt like we were the ones who used to live in that neighborhood.
I wonder how could anyone dislike this drama. To me, this is not only a drama but emotion.

Hi there. Thanks for your recommendation. Unfortunately, I have already watched it. The last drama I watched this year was Boyhood. It was getting so boring to watch all past lover Kdramas so I really enjoyed Boyhood even though it was nothing special. Well, right now I'm going through drama block.

Indeed it was a great one to watch among all these romance and past lovers genre dramas. Every episode was enough to hold the attention. But the main reason for watching this drama was to know only why Choi Yi Jae's suicide decision was irrational. Well, I guess not knowing I wanna feel that myself. And the second season successfully failed to make me realize that the ML was wrong. I'm just sharing my perspective nothing else. As a person who is suffering from depression, not choosing suicide only for not hurting 2 or 3 of my close people was not enough reason to convince me. Yes, I believe that a dead person leaves a huge negative impression on others. And people always remorse for the dead not for alive unsuccessful people. People who choose to commit suicide usually don't have close people like ML's mom and girlfriend in real life. Most of us suffer for not having only one person who would say that everything is alright even when nothing is alright. Even though my parents sleep in the next room, they don't know that I have been suffering from sleeping problems for 4 years now. It's just that suicide is haram in our religion, it's not like we are ignoring it for our parents. So I couldn't relate to the message of this drama, and no depressed and unsuccessful person would do.

for new watchers, if you like boyhood then give a try to "Hot Young Blood".

When I started this one, I thought it would be similar to Weak Hero. But I enjoyed it, more than I expected. Even though it's a bullying genre drama, the comedy in every episode makes it more enjoyable. Once again I have to say Si-wan is a phenomenal actor (at least imo), in his every work he gives us different roles.
I really loved the white tiger at first, but then ugh, man doesn't have any class. And for girls like Seon Hwa, I guess I would slap if I saw anyone like her. She tested my patience every time she appeared on screen.
