Yeah this trend kinda started from k-pop as everybody wanted to be eternally young, and even plastic surgery, these kinda things are making the mainstream asian dramas more focused on looks than story 😅

Yeah agreed just like love in the big city if it had atleast 1hr runtime then also it would have been better but alas ... Atleast we jumped from 15 minutes to 30-40 minutes each episode so it's a good thing. 🙂

The build up is sudden because they rushed this part as it's just a prequel to the actual storyline, so the first 2 episodes were basically the backstory, main story focuses on their getting back together after the gap of 12 years.

Oh maybe, my knowledge may not add up as i still haven't read the book. So if it's that then thanks for letting me know 👍

The timeline in the movie is i think before the legalisation.
