This is where I hope the drama fixes things, because in the novel it was left open ended. God Qing Ye fell in love with a mortal, so he lost his God status and forced to undergo love tribulations with that woman, very tragic each lifetime. Xing Yun finds him as Mr. Gu, and so realized whats happened, and later reawakens some of his memories so he can have a happy ending with her, but we don't know if its Xiao He (lotus demon girl) or Gu's wife.

I loved the fight, the music was spot on. Stopping when she got swallowed and resuming after. Best xianxia fight I've seen in a drama yet~

I think it's cuz he's a bit odd, which is how he's written. It's very hard to relate to, I had the same issue reading the novel first time. Once you know what he's like, it's easy to love him

Most likely he doesn't know how he feels. He likes her, but he was a mortal who's dead. In his current existence, never known love

Your feelings are spot on :)

1. Not clearly explained in the novel (he keeps dodging the question when anyone asked), but presumed its hard to cancel an agreed upon peace marriage, and won't look good/no reason to cancel. Two, he and Shenli had a thing, but that was mortal him who is dead, and he thought the emotions would fade/be irrelevant now.
2. Mofang loves her just the same in the novel, the drama has been very true to everything, including all the actions/words and rejection by Shenli.

I do like that it may help us know the ML better. In the book his background and actions weren't well developed enough for me to understand him. Also, I dont remember if they closed the Qing Ye arc well? I hope they fix it in the drama.

It must've hit him hard to force him to confess love when the "useless guy" turned into a Ancient God.

I think the actor is pretty hot though, but yes, not much space between our power couple.

She figures it out soon. But he denies his feeings for her as he hasn't figured it out yet. Remember Xingyun said "you talk as if I agreed to be together with you" when they parted in the mortal realm. As an Ancient God, he probably thought the feelings would pass.
