I'm inclined to believe he "woke" with the memories of the 3 lifetimes, much like FL did. And so he started the company for resort vacation, called SanSheng (like SanSheng mountain) and alot of references to their past. So he wait and wait to find his "overworked" salted fish Zou Yan.
