The part where Fuyi is there during the fire?
Yup they gave us so many possibilities: either it's Resentful Woman, or Muyao set the fire possessed by RW, or Mu Sheng went demon and set fire, or Fuyi had a hand in it (or witnessed something). With him being so quiet, I am veering towards that it was Mu Yao unintentionally possessed, and why his master wants him to spy on her.

Truthfully, it may be because there are edits because it was cut from 38 eps to 32, some kisses were cut for the game topic appealing to much younger generation, and some leaked script was online where there were more to some scenes, like the confession part.

He's honestly so cute, and he took rejection well, and would be happy for her to be with someone she loves. Also the Princess isn't hateful either. No one is evil here!
The drama has done so well in propelling our lead's love story, and this arc introduces that bracelet which will tie in to Mu Sheng's mom's love story. This is wonderful show and tell.
