Its in the beginning of Episode 2! She goes to kill him, and fails when he shoots two arrows into her legs. yet she crawls to him and pushes him off the wheelchair together.
The plan seems to be: Raise her to kill himself and she will die (thinking she's killed him, and thus satisfies her own wish), and meanwhile the poison he's used on her body is one that is used by Zhang (that dude that works for Crown Prince). Since Zhang is innocent, he will try to get CP to help, which of course he won't. Rather than getting left out to die, Zhang will turn sides to MRJH and expose CP's crimes. Or at least, try to. It's a start.
So the reason she's alive now is because she stabbed him in a non-fatal area (and he's wearing a armor inside his clothes, he never meant to truly die), because she figured out he's not really her enemy anymore.
Lets be real, the writing is so so, but the acting, cinematography and music makes it an easy 8.0+. I'm actually…
Yea they basically laid out all their cards and their plans in the first 3 eps, which is why I needed a plot twist. The angst, acting, cinematography and everything else is very good though
can someone spoil the relationship of the key royals for me? JH and XL are half-brothers (diff moms) and JH's…
MRJH is the son of the Empress so by rights he should've been Crown Prince. But due to the "mass murder" event his reputation is ruined, he was crippled and exiled. Yue Qin and Zigu are Prince/Princess from Xiyan country, and we are currently in Yan. Prince YQ has been a hostage prince "to keep peace" and now Princess ZG and 100 beauties are to marry to Yan to further peace alliances, and release him back to Xiyan.
I expected a lot, and I received more than I expected Absolute cinemaIt's been some months since I felt this thrill…
Im loving it more than The Double!! This one is darker and the ML is so gritty. Also in Double, I wasn't a fan of the camera zooms and the weird comedy (the cartoon maids and the cousin). I can't wait for more eps!
Ive been dying for a drama like this with Liu Xueyi after I saw him in In Blossom. This is my favorite character of his so far (although I really love Wu Xin from The Blood of Youth)
The Xiyan Princess is sent to marry the Yan King for marriage alliance/peace. Her brother (Bi Wenjun) is already a hostage prince there, but he gets to be sent back now, since she is an exchange. She came with 100 beauties that will marry to their Yan kingdom, so the "blood" can mix in future generation that makes further peace.
10 year ago, it show that FL's village burned, and she thinks ML did it. So she went to kill him (and failed), and he remembers her and her strong will/spirit. He then raised her as an assassin to kill himself, since no one hate him as much as she does. She does not know her Shadow master is MRJH. He intended to let her "kill" him, but she will fail (he's wearing a golden silk armour), and then use her to expose the Crown Prince is the real mastermind of the mass murders and clear his own name.
The twist is, while she is going to kill him, she is smart and started to realize MRJH is NOT the one behind her village murders. So she stab him non-fatal, and plead for him to save her. Whether he save her is of course, our drama's love story.
ML is hated by brother because he was the King's favorite, but then the "mass murder" happen and he got crippled and exiled for 10years, and his brother became Crown Prince. At the same time, his reputation is ruined, he is hated by the world, and his mother died blaming him. So he is very "mad/crazy"
Can someone tell me if as of now the ml's character has been toned down a little compared to the novel? As of…
I didn't read past the first few chapters of the novel, but it seems they did tone him down.
For example, he doesn't r*pe her, and its revealed by eps 2 he isn't the evil mass murderer people think he is. He was a good General, and a good son, and he suffered a lot. He has moments he laughs crazily but it's mostly a outward facade since it's what everyone thinks of him anyway.
In the trailer, YiMeng has 7 steps written on the chalkboard and she also written down Plan A-D to kill Nan Heng…
Title: Yu's Escape Plan Sub Title: Famous Drama Scenes 1. Rescue from falling into lake of Royal Imperial Garden 2. Hero rescues maiden at Lantern Festival 3. Something about "family breakup digging wild vegetables"?? (no idea what famous scene this is, or if translation is right, sorry) 4. Sister/aunt has affair with brother in law 5. On wedding day, 3 people stab and spin in circle 6. Jump off City Wall: Epic choice of 1 between 2 people 7. (Incomplete) The "Cold Palace" ....
They're probably references to other drama's famous moments, like lantern festival in Love Like the Galaxy, the city wall scene in TTEOTM, but I'm very curious about the 3 person stabbing on a wedding day?? lol

So he trained her as an asssasin - to assasinate himself.
