Honesty I cried seeing Tian'er. You can feel the passage of time, from the beginning of S1 to now. While Xiao Yao looks the same, her heart must be soo tired and fatigued from everything she has been through.
Xiaoyao: If you're given another chance would you still choose this path?XL: YesXiaoyao: Why?XL: Because I met…
It got lost in the translation, but the chinese character they used in the subtitle is "HER" which sounds the same as "him" in chinese, so XY thought he meant foster father, but to viewers its guaranteed he is talking about a female.
well, spoiler ahead but not major spoiler anymore! that kid is not his, the biological father is Jing's brother,…
No the kid TSJ adopts and will be future Chief of Tushan. Tushan Hou and FFYY died together when trying to kill Jing, which they nearly succeeded, but Jing was basically dead for like 6 years. Before dying, he and Xiao Yao were going to get married the next day.
I'm embarassed to say I've watched S1 so many times and never noticed, because I always skip intros
Oh I agree I love the drama BGM! But I'm too impatient and skip the intro lol. I just listened to it and it seems like theres a shift that feels like a different song (when condor XL flies by), is that true?
Am I the only one is is actually happy with this solemn start, I like the fact that they are building the angst…
Probably because I rewatch S1 so frequently and recently right before S2, so it really feels just like a continuation. At the end of S1, the pacing is much the same with the same things going on with a mix of heartbreak & politics, but more focused now on Cang Xuan in S2. Which I prefer; Zhang Wanyi has so much to offer, and the siblings' bond has such chemistry.
Also, about struggling, I remember she also carried on some self-hatred for the situation with Jing, and lots of guilt herself.
