Oh the other one is not bad, you can understand a lot of it. What is most confusing are the gender pronouns, because theres no differentiation between "he" or "she" in cnovel so the translation often chooses the wrong ones. I read the eng translation by Lazy Girl Translations (up to chapter 181), then for the rest a more poorly translated version (seems google translated). It's because I can listen to mandarin, but cannot read chinese words, so I read it along with the audiobook and it makes a lot more sense.

I haven't moved on. The only thing keeping my focus is rewatching Joy of Life S1.
I'm hoping for another new xianxia, but the bars are set so high from TLOSL ,that I will hate any that follows the old tropes (angst, separation, misunderstandings, bloodspitting, draggy love plot, shoddy ending).

Really good. Mature couple, Physically and emotionally together. The FL is very badass and strong, and the ML is more smart scientist type. A great duo, to solve the bigger mystery together with their little team. I find the mystery and storyline easy to follow.

Probably because their purpose was to just to do their divine duty, and its less complicated when its all men.
..But its explained in the novel (and maybe briefly mentioned in the drama, but I forgot where, correct me if I'm wrong or I'll go check and come back to edit later), Ancient Gods were eventually meant to "fall" over time, as the world evolved and no longer needed Ancient Gods.
What makes the story the saddest is that they don't tell them this, just letting them experience, do something wrong and get punished, or push to reincarnation, or die, and when only Xing Zhi is left, he had more responsibility than his previous friends since he's the last one to protect those lazy heavenly realm immortals. He was "orphaned", forgotten, and no one cares for him, but everyone matter-of-factly expects him to care for All beings in all realms. So him discovering love and meeting SL to love and care for him makes such a nice xianxia love story. His character is deeper and develops better than SL, in my opinion... even though this is called The Legend of ShenLi. haha
For those who have seen Princess Agents, how do you compare this to PA?
It's completely different genres. This is light, happy, fluffy xianxia. PA is more wuxia, court politics, angst, full of betrayal and emotions, longing and regrets, torture from beginning to end. The only similarity is LGX/ZLY chemistry, making you cannot draw your eyes away from the CP, and the easter eggs the actors left behind in Shen Li to resolve the regrets of PA's unfinished story.

Just gushing with BTS scenes: ZLY LGX 2nd time working together in a drama = a happy atmosphere on set full of laughter. This drama resolved a lot of regrets left behind by Princess Agents, where the fans of Yu Wenyue can finally have him "saved" from the waters. This drama is different from previous Xianxias: Both ML/FL speak frankly and honestly, admitting they like each other right away. The sweet words are so much, both actors cannot help laughing and cringing over their script. The line: "Dont walk in front of me, because when I see you, I'm blind to all other colors." Pffft! LGX: I couldn't take it; I begged her not to say it. ZLY: But I had to! LGX&ZLY: We can't stand hearing it!
You're in for many more heartwarming nuggets in the coming episodes
