MF definitely was super sus, but pretty much what you see now is what you get from him. He's a tragic grey character.

the drama is closely following the novel so a lot of people who read it already know the ending. But I can see where you might get that, the villain plot unfolds very slowly

They need it for other reasons though

I didn't know about the gaming bit! I like he's so talkative and fine being himself IRL. I'm glad ZLY stood up for him, because it seems their friendship is very good, and I can't imagine a better Xing Zhi!

I don't have the direct new sources anymore, as I've only seen him sporadically on headlines since I liked him from BBJX days, and he got famous, was the next hit star, very handsome, then declined pretty quickly again. So some fan videos and headlines online said there wasn't any big projects for him in the last few years (his dramas after PA didn't make it big) and the only news of his to make headlines were either for his sharp tongue (which is negative news), or his dating news (he famously never hides his relationships). He tried to start some stuff live streaming cooking, which didn't attract a lot of people but made him popular amongst the "aunties/older ladies" lol and he had to pick on that too ("I don't have young fans anymore!"), because he used to have the moniker of "9 million or (90mil, cant remember) young girls dream guy". and again he said "well my 90mil young girls are no longer young". LMAO

So when ZLY picked up TLOSL project, she reached out to him for the ML role, but cnetisens were against it, and director Deng Ke refused because at that time he was out of work for over a year or more (source is Deng Ke's interview, forgot which one), and had gained too much weight, thus did not look good onscreen. But ZLY convinced him to wait, and he really lost 40kg weight in months, making headlines again with people clamoring for his diet plan & good looks. So now with the success of TLOSL, he's way back up the ladder with commercials and photoshoots. He even did a commercial as Xing Zhi!

u mean they shouldn't drag out a fight with a villian for 70 episodes, spit blood 40 times, and die at least once? haha

There are a lot of "modern" touches to come!

I love how they just built up his power, and never fully showed us until recently, even though it's implied he's super powerful. At first dude just re-sealed things, took strolls, and purified the air!

Then he sits back and wave his hand to open cages while drinking tea..!

MF is the son of the creator of the chimeis/monsters, Liu Ming. LM is the previous demon king and master of Shen Muyue. So MF as his son, thus a "young master" to the monsters. His dad is sealed in the Xutian Abyss by XZ in the last war 1000 years ago, and Fusheng took the baby out and basically raised him with his own monster heartblood, because Mofang has a weak heart. So MF is dependent on Fusheng to survive, shares powers with him (including resurrection) and has no other powers of his own.

So as the son, his goal was to release the monsters, destroy the immortal realm, free his dad and regain power again by being a spy. But he fell in love with ShenLi and the rest is as you see.

I'm waiting for cave scene pictures LOL..in the trailers it looks like he backhugs her at the very least.

Never have I seen a better Ancient God character in dramas like these. The most realistic portrayal (both personality & power)!

I've found him good looking since Bu Bu Jing Xin. I didn't think he was the best actor but he had top looks, and he's unabashedly himself. They call him Lin dog and poison tongue for a reason lol. So I like his honesty and confidence, and life was hard the last few years for him, so I'm more than happy to love and support him more now, especially as he did such a wonderful job as Xing Zhi. He had to lose a lot of weight for XZ's role, and he's even better looking now than when they filmed it, check out his interviews and photos!

Its super cute, they bicker and act like a couple thats been together forever.

HAHHA! Right? He even already asked her for as many children as a bunch of grapes LOL. Then proposal 20 years later...

She explains in her thoughts..because she would not have allowed him to save her if she knew it was him. Also, pretending not to be themselves..gives them a few days where they can just be together without the shackles of their identities. He knows she knows, but the point is not to say it out loud.

Your understanding skills are kinda poor, you should drop the drama. It gets so complicated and the characters develop so well, you might be lost later.
