Ancient Gods aren't born of parents, but made by Nature/higher power. They were created very, very, very long ago, before even the 3 realms, and their use dwindled over time as people became Immortals, beasts became humans, mortals established life and realm. So fewer Ancient Gods were born, XZ being the last one.

They aren't supposed to love, because their purpose wasn't anything except to be there to keep things in check. But they can love and did love, and will lose their powers and Godhead if they act against the heavenly laws (i.e. prolonging their loved ones life, or using their powers selfishly with their desires). Example is Qing Ye who wanted to make his woman live longer/prevent her death, and made demons, imagine how bad it'd be if he had XZ's powers and the desire to save Shi?

XZ just happens to be the last one still standing, hence the greater responsibility, as there is no other Ancient God to fall back on/save the world if he is gone. He can only "die" when he's completed his mission, and leave the realms in peace.

Oh I saw this and I translated it a bit further up, its all scenes from the novel that the videomaker thinks is included in the drama. Perhaps due to censorship, the timelines might be different (I.E. proposal before intimacy, or removing the idea she is pregnant at all until much later to fit their traditional views).

The text in the video are scenes the video maker thinks the scene is of, from novel:
Scene 1: SL running and XZ chasing - from when they attend a wedding and SL is already pregnant, XZ is cold and chasing her. XZ: "Ah Li, will you marry me? I will give you a wedding blessed by a hundred thousand deities.”

I feel like the cave scene might just be a kiss :( so then they can do the story, then end with XZ coming back, and proposal? But what about Lady Jin's story with her fiance? Gosh I have no idea. For this, I am glad, it has been anti-climatic being a novel reader, so now I have something to look forward to.

I thought he reverted back to his Xingyun attitude lol and just wanted a peaceful life. Since the Divine realm helped in the last fight, I think all got swept under the rug

In the novel Furong is Bi and liked Mo fang. They seem to have cut the scenes in the drama, so the topic is censored and re-worked.

XY tried to delay SL leaving because he liked her company. He's a very lonely guy, you'll understand him more as time goes on. Having SL with him its like..the first friend he had in ten thousand years.

Yeah it kind of bothers me nothing happens to the heavenly realm after SL and team saves the world. At least they leave them tf alone in the end.

So I think they will add some fillers, because to me, the torture takes pretty long time in the book, but she is in and out of it a lot since she gets tortured to the point of fainting, and some days she has missing senses so can't tell what is happening. She still doesnt know WHY they need it, or what is the pearl. Also..this is spoilers, but she's also in same prison with the Prince of the Northern Sea, Bei Xiaoyan (the guy who got snatched by a hand when he was picking up his box of treasures), so the drama may want to cover some of his stuff and what the villains are doing. XZ doesn't go back to the divine realm, he actually camps at that sea for a long time searching. From the teaser, it looks like he made friends with the King of the North Sea, maybe he finds out about the missing Prince and finds out theres more to this than just a bunch of monsters rampaging around. This is not in the book so I think they added some stuff to show what XZ was up to while she was away.
