Depending on how they start the first few episodes i might as well. Will have to wait and see what they do. And i agree the 2021 had hints of the donghua but overall was it's own thing. But with this one there were so many scenes that i could recognize right away from the donghua. I guess that's why I'm curious to see how they go about the story.
Ngl I'm kind of confused after watching all the trailers because there are scenes that should have happened in Douluo Continent (specifically the tournament) that are now happening here . And after watching all the trailers it's clear that they are going to be following the anime so if we are starting where Douluo Continent left off there shouldn't be another tournament.
The only reason I can see this is if it's via flashbacks or a couple episodes being a kind of recap to what lead to the end of Doulou Continent. But on a more personal note I am actually really glad they are doing the tournament like it was in the anime. It was one of my favorite parts from the anime and I was very underwhelmed with the tournament in Doulou Continent so it's nice to see it is faithful to the anime.
There are also a lot of my favorite scenes from the anime that I could recognize like Xiao Wu sacrifice, island trials, Tang san reaction to Xiao Wu body resurrecting in the bed, marriage proposal after Xiao Wu is completely resurrected and so much more. And i truly couldn't be happier!
I also think that because it seems to be taking a lot of inspiration from the anime that this will be a pretty fast paced story which has me hoping that because of that Xiao Wu will get fully resurrected faster and we won't have to deal with soulless Xiao Wu for that long.
Regardless, I am beyond excited and I can't wait for Monday!
As someone who has seen the anime this season already looks to be more faithful to the anime from the visuals, costumes and from some of the scenes that i saw from the trailer it looks like they will be following a good chuck of the anime storyline as well. And i couldn't be happier! Don't get me wrong i enjoyed part 1 but this just seems more faithful to the original story and just looks more visual appealing like it did in the anime. They only thing that's still up in the air is the new actors but based off the trailer they seem to be okay, will just have to wait and see. Regardless I'm excited to see!
I swear it's always the dramas that I'm not overly excited about that end up becoming one of my favorites. I'm honestly surprised by how much I am loving this drama. I'm not usually into the whole transported into a video game or in this case a novel because half the time they never do anything different and it's the same story over and over again. But in this drama it's different.
Yes we still have the classic fl transported into the body of the evil woman in the novel/game but I'm not too annoyed by it and in fact I think it actually works really well here. I'm also really happy with the fantasy element here. In the past drama's i have watched similar to this the fantasy element ends with the fl being transported into the game/novel. But here they are demon hunters that actually have powers and the cgi (in my opinion) is really well done.
I also like the group dynamics, especially the constant bickering between our two leads. It honestly has me excited to see how their relationship develops further. And not to mention the potential scenes we could get of Mu Sheng getting protective of Ling Miao Miao since he is such a protective person of those he loves.
All in all this drama is such a breath of fresh air after all the heavy dramas I have been watching (though I doubt it will stay that way until the end) and if it keeps going this way it could easily make my top ten favorites of the year!
It's actually really frustrating that I can't even trust mdl ratings anymore, because people will rate any drama low if they hate the cast enough out of what i assume to be jealousy. If you don't like the cast, great! Don't watch it as simple as that! Don't ruin it for everyone else that is excited. And what makes it even more frustrating is half the time the drama is actually really good but because of some prats some people will miss out on a good drama because they trust the rating. Which isn't their fault because ratings are supposed to be reliable.
So to anyone who is indecisive about watching because of the ratings don't be! Unfortunately because of the toxic nature of society nowadays ratings simply can't be trusted anymore. So just watch a couple episodes and if you don't like it that's fine, but at least you came to that conclusion on your own and gave it a chance!
Is there a love triangle ? I am still going to watch it, I just need to be mentally prepared for potential SLS
Both ML and FL have people chasing them but i wouldn't say it's a true love triangle as ML only has eyes for FL and the FL is only entertaining the SML because of a misunderstanding (can't really explain more without spoilers but i promise it isn't bad at all.) You defiantly won't get SLS that i can promise you lol Happy watching!😁
Finally!! There hasnt been a lot of dramas to capture my attention as of late besides the double, my sweet mobster, and TLOSL other than that nothing has intrest me😭
Just like when i had no expections going into the double I'm going to try and do the same here, especially after i just finished it and ended up loving it.
TPR has a hard job to try and follow up the double, but i trust the cast and crew to give us a beautiful but angsty story. Tomorrow cant come fast enough!🤍🎉

Just finished watching the first two episodes and i never regretted anything more.This drama is a prime example of why i like to watch dramas that are already done or are about to finish airing because i am hooked. The last drama that got me feeling like this was Alchemy Of Souls and i LOVE that drama. I had a feeling this would happened and planned to wait until it was done airing, but none of the dramas i have been watching have captivated me like this one and so now i will suffer because of it..Cause best believe i will be binge watching the rest of the episodes tomorrow and will be suffering with the rest of you in no time I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WAITED CURSE YOU PAST ME😭
