ADORB, can´t get enough. But, ! jamkkanmanyo! The stares that Yeong Wha friend gives him when the latter is with someone else is, ¿ a hint of something else? Jealous? A boy crush?
Happy New Year y'all. I binge watched this drama because a recommendation and I'm completely bewitched. The drama and its theme are so fresh, weird (in a good way) the characters, are dreamy. (Oh, Lord, thank you for Si Wan existence, so cute and beautiful.) And old school at the same time. Old school for me is when a drama has an overall that makes you emotional all the time, you laugh and cry with simple gestures and situations, this drama makes me emotional and is because the good writing, the amazing characters, terrific and non forced acting and the intelligent mise en-scène, I don't care at all about tropes or clichés in this one, I am in love, and when you're in love you don't see any fault.

Happy ending because of love, the rest of the ending is for an average cdrama with the chinese censorship doing their thing. I don´t know if there´s another finale because all the drama was cut here and there, but in the novel ( of course this a satyre of the novel ) they end up together and alive.
to all Chingus here who had watched Go Princess Go. Hope you can answer my questions:1# is this Mr Queen anything…
It´s very similar but, the man swaping souls is in the beggining a Crown Princess ( Empress later) in order to survive makes everything to fit in, achieving it and conquering the CP with this change, like in this version, but is not obsessed with returning, the concubine is a bitch, married with a prince but two timing with the Crown Prince, who has 5 more concubines, ( all of them very funny) the male/female lead has sex with the crown prince whilst both drunk and she becomes pregnant at his horror (LOL) when the doctor tells her/him, the budget is very low but they made a decent drama with eye candies like Alan Yu or Sheng Yi Lun and the FL is a great actress, very funny as well beautiful, the drama has those chinese quite annoying characters as usual but is ok , and is sponsored by a viagra company in China, LMAO ( true, in fact the actors makes a whole advertisement in one episode) , the Emperor hates her for her being part of a powerful clan and because he always believed that she was a bitch bullying her cousin, the concubine, later we discover that the innocent concubine was a trully manipulative and vengeful woman. Later on the Emperor, after she giving birth to a son and realizing that she/he loves this baby, falls head over heels for her , as well she/he for the emperor first in order to protect the baby but later on because he proves himself worthy ( the emperor) and start to became romantic, she slowly forget the fact that has a man soul and...happy ending. Oh, the concubine is exiled but in the records appears as like the emperor found about her schemes against the empress and is "invited" to drink poison.

well yes, the whole situation is funny itself and i expect that they to keep up that element, i guess we all hope doesnt become a tipical sageuk with tragedies, idle bureocracy , endless plots and schemes talked between old people and so on, but we need a smooth transition towards romantic elements as well, if not, it becomes a mess, for not being more than a satire , for me, messing up would be, by instance, turn the concubine into the true love and a lovely a pure woman in the end , that the playboy chef doesnt change his attitude towards love woman and people in general and to himself, continuing with this disconnection between the queen and the chef souls in the same body, without he not even starting to considering the king point of view, truth and feelings, even if doing that questions his masculinity, wising up about the time and body that inhabits now and being consecuent with it . They can´t continue with this back and forth trope of she trying to return trough death, and the others trying to user her as political weapon without she knowing or caring. Wise up man!
This drama is so good for a 8.4, it deserves for now a 9.2. I hope the director doesn't mess up the drama. If…
¿What do you mean by messing up?. Because in my opinion the greatest achieveent would be guiding in the same direction of Go Princess Go, but Korean society is not ready for that, but if he does it, not because of gender but because persons connection is gonna be daebak.
¿What to say so far?, i love it, stunning people, a love with a mistery, different aproaches to similar topics facilitated by the format and the great acting, a really lovely way to go into different moods, mature and realistic, i´m watching True Beauty, ( Basically for the pair Moon Ga Youn en Cha Eun Woo) Love is Sweet ( a chinese one with Bai Lu and Leo Luo) and the japanese BL Cherry Magic ( overdose of cuteness) but this one, luckily for me is more relatable, im 23 so i went trough all stages portrayed in the drama, without the twists that makes a drama a drama, and i felt compelled to watch it because of it, there´s adulthood, sex, skinship, all the things what others lack, im not complaining about that, just saying, is ok for 6 graders to complain about this drama, because is not for them, as a french and parisienne it would be ok for me, but not every mentality in other cowntries is the same, not to mention no one is gonna argue about SML syndrome or teams or kpop, thanks drama gods! But is just starting, we´ll see.
The important:
¿JCW what about that hairstyle? i dont like it, i prefer the one he had in Healer.
It's gonna show that the current prosper capitalistic SK is build upon thousands of innocents lives lost at hands of a dictatorship. I like that for once they don't sell us the "miracle" which is not. The only other drama that depicts that, not much in deep but it does it is Ji Chang Wook (❤) "Healer"
Incredibly boring and irrelevante family and side stories apart, i'm watching just for curiosity how the love story unfolds, But, ¿what were they doing sitting in they bed with those long faces? Intimacy is the most joyful occasion , not something you suffer, they are no kids.
i guess private channels are increasing the family time to cater to all age audience and increase the trp.. if…
Yes youre quite right, except the family part that at least for me is too much, even for koreans given the fact that the drama is not portraying cowntry bumpkins but cool people of Seoul. Youre right about the primary target that maybe gives them more benefits in the local market, but i struggling with my former love for all kdramas and the trends right now.

Im talking as an european viewer and consumer of kdramas, i dont care about the marketing or the demographics of it. I wont see it if over the top humor , shallow families and violent ones takes the 60 percent of the time without a real contribution to the core story. And yes they are excelent dramas where the plot is about 2 o three characters, some just one, and the other cast is a tool for the main character builds their own stories, those dramas are fabulous and successful.
I dont know about you people, but lately the nosy, meddlesome and annoying big family ( or village or group or asociates) is a great obstruction to a nice storytelling, it happened with my beloved Ji Chang Wook in his last 2 dramas and with Moon Chae Won in Mama Fary....and so on, this one has two families and even if the main story is quite interesting the family stuff is a big turn off for me.
