How much i loved the character of the father in "The wedding banquet" he knew was best for his child, he knew that heart and love are far better more important than appearances tradition or inheritance, doesn't matter who you love, if you re loved back it becomes more powerful than any other thing in the world, and he knew and he understood and supported the couple acknowledging his son in law, till now i remember that scene and makes me wanna cry. I know that LGBT+ people in China go through weddings, gay and lesbian in order to fulfill the familiar mandate and be happy by themselves as well, but i don't know if you know that China was more open minden years ago, recently has become more rigid about it, reinforcing conservative values again in the society in order to have more control. But this movie is Taiwanese where can convive without clashing, tradition and accepted new forms of love, parents are more open minded and even in a discreet manner give the couple a ceremony for their marriage, both wearing traditional attires, so sweet, hope in the future China allows again the connection between parents and childs in the same way, with honesty and respect but acknowledging their child's ways of love. Ang Lee and this actor are so amazing.

This is an amazing article, i watched the anime and became "possesed" with the story, till now im expecting the second part, i´m in chapter 33 of the novel and in the ep 40 of the live, the last one is beyond my expectations, such many eye candies, and such sad, funny, cool story, both male leads are extremely gorgeous and the chemistry between them is sizzling ( The actor giving life to Wei Wu Xian is so amazing that can make you laugh with his mischiefs and antics but make you cry just with a change in her expression ) the plot is so solid and fluid that it becomes not a long story despite the amount of episodes, an if the chinese government were more clever they would allow bl ( and other silly restrictions) xianxia or wuxia or whatever the story ( im watching you Guardian) because the amount of good actors and actresses beyond gorgeous would make China the leader country in series and movies.

i'm not chinese, but is not a 50 episodes drama? . oh, tell me, where this drama is streamed where you can become VVIP?

¿It's just me or are more daring than other related cdramas as Guardian about BL bromance? The ban is not that extreme in this drama and everyone who has a good eye can see that there is love not just friendship. I love the cuteness of WWX and LW so handsome and lovely.

For me the cool ones are are extremely rare, and i find disturbing how viewers tend to confuse maternal love with meddling in and grown up individual business. I can´t believe by instance that even with their married sons or daughters they can enter without advice or ask in advance at any hour and imposing over the new family affairs like if by right is their privilege.

i'm having troubles to digesting extreme meddlesome in laws and spineless women who cant even say, ¿can you, at least, tell me in advance when you come to "MY" house? I know is a cultural thing but some koreand friends told me that is not like in dramas, the in laws usually tend to have more respect for the intimacy of their son and couples. And another thing i'm in ep 3 and the ML is HIM so for me Lee Sang Yeob is perfect even if the drama consist in him alone reading a story, with that voice ( drools ) but the character of the FL is the most boring spineless and dumb woman in the world,´¿ is it that hard to complete an entire phrase? , i hope it gets better.

SHE'S AMAZING!, in Moon Lovers and "My Ahjussi" i cried like a madwoman just with her characterizations of JI Ann and Hae Soo , in this one she cracks me up, literally i can't stop laughing with Man Wol and her diva attitude, and my girl crush for her is bigger than ever with every outfit, everything suits her and she is beautiful always, as the wanderer of Goryeo or in Audreys Hepburn style. IU is by now in the elite of actors that can be chameleonic, subtle, and very convincing, one second is bullying Chang Seon shamelessly and the next second her gaze is of a deep nostalgic woman longing for something. I'm so hooked up.

The alternate plot you suggest end up being another kdrama cliché. LOL,. Im saying it with love, none offense. And about YJG im a little worn out w him, he's in every drama lately i would prefer another. But as a kdrama viewer i will surely grow fond of his character.

¿How many anti fans has appear so far? it´s a nightmare every time IU appears in a drama the anti´s and haters are a given. ¿Is just me or her chemistry with the Goryeo soldier is much better that with the manager? i would love that that guy would have been the ML.

Totally agree, as for character development sorry but was huge in all of them in Moon Lovers.

LOL in that drama she even decide to sleep with him without consulting and accomplishes her mission.
