is a quite cute drama but; who buys that either of both leads never dated before, so that means that are virgins? we still have to buy this? ok our shows are full of sex and bla bla ( every single reply is the same) but in SK 2 good looking and healthy persons in their past past 30 in their first time ever dating , is ok is comedy but.....disappointing.

Of course your professor is right because if the literal translation doesn't make sense, the translator must search for a way to make sense and capture the very meaning of what it´s written without losing the form of what is written, is the same with greek or dead languages, by instance i read the Dhammapada and the translation is impecable as well The Analects. I suppose the translator must have some sort of literary knowledge in order to put in a different language and with sense the original idea expressed in a book or now we are talking about series.- Literary skills are a must in order to translate.

But if we the westerners can access to amazing literary pieces translated from the original chinese and those books are comprehensible, semantically and grammatically as well it´s translated so well that we are capable of reach the deepest meanings i imagine that between book translators and TV translators there is a huge gap iguess they are cheaper than a professional translator. Or at least in Netflix they to a standardized basic english, for basic viewers, Viki used to be different but now are lazy like Netflix.

When i watched the drama "My wife has a lover" i believe that no one if healthy could behave like the Second female lead but when i saw that everything was forgiving i tough that maybe the pathology is grupal and she is one symptom of a big " romantic" constellation, is true there´s few FL so obsessive or at least her obsession is make up as "cute stalking" but the biggest neurotic obsessives about the ML or SML are the MOTHERS" and a little less the THE FATHERS with the FL, sometimes i think they needs to be institutionalized.
