AI slop clips sprinkled throughout, so for that alone it should really only be pirated to avoid supporting AI. The pacing is also a bit odd, especially in the very beginning. I'm about halfway through and I'm honestly only watching because I like the male lead.
Ending was..... meh. I was bracing for way worse but it still didn't really impress me. Minju remained just agonizingly unbearable; she really makes the drama a harder watch than it needs to be. Yunjae and Jihun should've kissed and I feel kind of massively robbed that they didn't. I Guess I was hoping for too much. I'd give it a 7. Even if it disappointed me, Junghoo carried the whole show so hard I would've watched it anyway. I hope his back recovers.
I already know this is going to be the case, because obviously it would be, but I really hope this drama doesn't end with Jieun permanently a woman. I've really enjoyed how it actually took a ridiculous premise surprisingly seriously, but the slow burn is starting to feel a little too slow. At this point I feel like someone in the writers room actually PREFERRED Minju to Jieun, which is insane. Minju is a genuinely difficult character to stomach when she's on screen, and Yoonjae is driving me insane with how he makes less than zero effort to set boundaries with her. I feel like the writers have created a situation where there's no good way to end the story. If Jieun gets to stay as Jieun and everything goes back to normal, then the whole drama kind of feels like a waste of time. If Jieun stays a man and lives as Jihun, I would find that much more compelling, but it's not exactly a happy ending for her. There's also the issue of how we just haven't spent much time with Jieun as Jieun. I have a hard time reconciling that Jieun and Jihun are meant to be the same person when, sadly, Jihun is far more interesting to me... I'm still enjoying it for now. I'm just not sure how they're going to cover enough ground in the last couple episodes for the ending to feel satisfying. It's grim enough that it's looking like this drama won't have any boykissing :( !
I didn't watch the drama yet but can concluding from comments that second female lead is the most horrible clinging…
I'm really enjoying the drama, but it's also true the second female lead kind of activates my fight or flight at this point. She's not exactly evil but she's just so unbelievably selfish and entitled and sees nothing wrong with it. She's a character they cooked up in a lab to piss you off. But even still, she hasn't ruined the show for me... I'm waiting to see if the finale does that for her, lmao.
