Best Period C-drama of 2025
This is, by far, the best costume C-drama I’ve ever seen. Liu Yuning has completely embodied Wei Shao—his performance is so compelling and nuanced that I honestly can’t imagine anyone else bringing the character to life the way he did. This is also my first time watching Song Zuer, and she absolutely owned the role of Xiao Qiao with grace, strength, and emotional depth.The cinematography is breathtaking, each frame beautifully crafted, and the script is both poetic and powerful. Every episode pulls me in emotionally. I’ve smiled, cried, and held my breath through the twists and turns of their journey. It truly feels like I’ve been transported into their world, living their joys and heartbreaks alongside them.
Even if this drama ran for 50 episodes or more, I wouldn’t mind—I’d gladly follow their story for as long as it goes. Prisoner of Beauty is more than just entertainment; it’s a masterpiece that will stay with me long after the final episode. Kudos to the entire cast and crew—thank you for creating something so unforgettable. This drama will forever hold a special place in my heart

A Revenge Story Done Right
This is by far the best short revenge drama that I’ve seen. It honestly felt like watching a very well-made movie. The casting, production, and scriptwriting were all strong. The music and OST were fine, though they did use some familiar K-drama tracks. At one point, they even used a background piece that was also featured in My Demon (another revenge drama).I never leave reviews on MDL, but this drama made me sign up just to share my thoughts. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it’s rated over 8.0 — I was worried it might be lower. For a short drama, they really put in a lot of effort. I’ve watched plenty of short dramas that make you question why you even wasted your time, but this one is different. The chemistry between the leads was genuinely compelling, their acting was solid, and even the supporting cast delivered well. The storyline was well executed and never felt absurd or forced.
Overall, this drama exceeded my expectations. It proved that even in a short format, a story can be impactful, emotional, and memorable.

A summer like no other
I think the hardest part of watching Never Ending Summer was waiting for new episodes to drop. I couldn't wait for the series to finish, so I watched it while it was still airing and honestly, I don't regret it one bit.This drama took me on such an emotional ride. It made me smile, cry, and even get frustrated at times. More than anything, it made me wish I had experienced a summer like the one Lu Xixiao and Zhou Wan shared.
Their story was so beautiful and heartfelt that I couldn't help but get attached to them. The cast did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. They're still young actors, but their performances proved they're more than just pretty faces, they have real talent.
The chemistry between the leads was absolutely insane, and even the second couple was so lovable that I never felt the urge to skip their scenes.
I'm beyond satisfied with Never Ending Summer. It's no surprise that it stayed at No. 1 on iQIYI throughout its run, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it continues to be one of the platform's most-loved dramas.
To L and Wan, thank you for letting us be part of your story. Through every setback and every heartbreak, you still found your way back to each other. Thank you for giving us a love story that will stay with me long after this summer ends. 💙☀️
