For all the people complaining about the "bad kiss" on the last episode, Can we for a second use our thinking hats and maybe consider two things :
1. The actors are portraying HIGHSCHOOLERS, most likely this being Kanata/Akira's first serious relationship (+ with a man), so why would we ever expect the script to ask for a passionate, tongue-filled kiss between these two ?? 2. Also the actors themselves are not that old either and pretty knew to the industry, let's give them some slack since they otherwise protrayed the characters very well.
And i know some BLs are notorious for their very steamy NC scenes (which as an adult, i also enjoy at times), but let's be real this show is clearly going for a softer vibe from the very start
it's crazy how i had this show shelved on my "plan to watch" for months, and yesterday i guess the spirit of Khun Thee took over me and i binged it like there was no tomorrow lol
Although at first i mainly started watching for WilliamEst crumbs, but i did end up enjoying the whole show. It was such a fun watch, i was smiling and giggling all by myself at every episode !
I'm rewatching this because for the love of me i could NOT remember a single thing about it, then the "noise kiss" scene happened and i was like AH ITS THATS MOVIE
How old are you, if you do not mind me asking?I read the manga back in 2010 when I was in high school and although…
I see, i understand why this story would be closer to your heart than me as you could relate to it at that time. ^^
Just to be clear once again, i love the original piece, the story is not the problem. What bothered me the most in this adaptation was the portrayal, the actors were not fit for the roles (or simply didn't do a good enough job in my opinion maybe ??) I remember really liking the movie adaptation from years ago tho !
Either way, it's nice discussing with new people that share the same interests, happy birthday in advance ! :)

i also read it for the first time a long time ago, and yes it is not the best story ever but my opinion is probably tinted by nostalgia (and will be forever ahah). But either way i stand by my opinion about this particular adaptation.
As a big fan of the original piece, this adaptation just felt soooo flat for me idk... I loved the Ao Haru Ride adaptation from last year so i had high expectations for this one, sadly it did not deliver. The cast's portrayal was a bit lacking in terms of feelings and facial expressions, also i guess AHR has more chapters to work with while Strobe edge is a shorter mangas so maybe they should've just made it a 10 episode season instead of 2-stretched-out seasons.
Um Taeheon ?? What was THAT ? Even if he's not interested in Jobu, that doesn't mean he can't have a friendly chat with him tf Jobu went out of his way to choose him and work with him that day, he was trying to start the conversation and Taeheon was literally just there : 😐 (he almost looked mad for some reason ?) idk if something happened behind the scenes that explains his behaviour, but if i was Jobu i would totally be turned off by that date. :/
I already enjoy this season2 better for one and only reason : They used Hibike koi no uta as OST for episode 3 !! it's been one of my favorite songs since Proposal daisakusen. Watching this episode made me go all nostalgic, kuddos to whoever chose that song in the production 🥺
i don't know if you're still interested but she doesn't officially end up with anyone, from what i remember they do make it clear that her and Sho (Mukai osamu) share mutual feelings, but they never get together officially.
